I interviewed Judge Anna von Reitz and she revealed how the Queen and the Vatican own the U.S. Government, how the Federal Reserve owes the American people much money, the IRS having been located in Puerto Rico, how Trump could end the mess and and so much more. A truly incredible interview. Please share this and especially if you know a Sheriff, Deputy or any other law enforcement person who needs to know this information.

C.I.A. PATENT US7220852B1 – CORONAVIRUS AKA SARS

CORONAVIRUS AKA SARS.

Posted January 24, 2020 by Edward Morgan.

.

Do you wonder how this virus jumped over from China to the USA in no time?
While researching the online archives we found a hard truth: The father of this Virus is the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention)
The virus didn’t originate in China but it is a C.I.A. gift to China to bring it in line to cough up the much needed funds the USA, Inc. needs to avoid bankruptcy on January 31st 2020.
For all those with IQ’s lower than a gold fish the added bonus is that they will have the opportunity to take advantage of the soon coming Free mass vaccinations for all! Yeah!
Alas the Deep State / US government, Inc. will soon have the FREE inoculation we all need to stay alive!
In the below patent you’ll find 72 pages of truth so you can be the judge of this terrible “sudden unknown outbreak”
Pease read the patent on the link below first, then download it and share this article far and wide before the DEEP STATE AGENTS delete it. Stay wise and healthy!

Here is some great advise how to deal with this typer of virus from Earthley Wellness:

The news is abuzz with word of this new Wuhan coronavirus, warning people it could be the next global pandemic…should you worry about it?

Here’s what we know right now:

Symptoms for most people are mild, basically cold-like. Sore throat, runny nose, cough. Some people later experience shortness of breath or pneumonia, but it’s not clear how common that is. There have been “hundreds” of cases and 6 deaths, all in adults. Most cases have been in people over the age of 40.
Some sources are claiming there is a patent on this virus; but this is the SARS strain, not the Wuhan strain. A company named Novovax is working on a vaccine for it, but none is current available.
There is one case in Washington state, a man who had recently traveled in Wuhan, China. He is reported to be in “good condition.”
Most people do not need to go to the doctor if they get it. If they experience trouble breathing, they may need to go in for assistance.
Experts have no idea how the illness is transmitting right now, and with only a handful of cases, no idea how serious it actually is. They are checking travelers who come from Wuhan China to make sure they don’t have the illness before letting them into the country.
Based on the low amount of information, they are likely scaring people unnecessarily (they believe it is less deadly than SARS and that was a very minor event ultimately).
There are things you can do. Elderberry has been shown to inhibit coronaviruses, for example. Echinacea may also be beneficial. Other herbs have been investigated, like Red Spider Lily (native to China) and found to be beneficial. Peppermint, too, has been shown to be helpful!
Basically? Keep your herbs on hand and don’t worry too much. Most healthy people are probably safe from serious illness.

Netanyahu to Join Trump Next Week to Announce ‘Deal of the Century’ Peace Plan Giving Israel ‘Everything it Wants’

President Donald Trump is expected to host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Netanyahu’s political rival Benny Gantz at the White House on January 28 to unveil the president’s “Deal of the Century” peace deal for the Middle East.
Though the full plan has not been released, the deal reportedly delivers nearly all of Israel’s demands in exchange for the possibility of maybe, someday recognizing a Palestinian state.
“Peace has nothing to do with it,” said Haaretz journalist Amir Tibon.

Pence: Netanyahu, Gantz accepted invitation to White House to discuss Mideast peace plan

The plan, said one observer on social media, “gives Israel  (cover up for Khazaria*) everything it wants.”
It quoted a White House source describing the current plan as “the most pro-Israel plan ever produced or presented.” A plan that no Palestinian leader could ever conceivably accept,
If the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas rejects the already declared “dead on arrival” plan, they will be severely punish as Israel would will have US support to begin annexing settlements unilaterally and basically anything else they want.
“Palestinians are expected to beg for crumbs,” they added.
Vice President Mike Pence announced the White House meeting on Thursday during a visit to Jerusalem.
“President Trump asked me to extend an invitation to Prime Minister Netanyahu to come to the White House next week for talks,” Pence said.
“At the prime minister’s suggestion,” the vice president added, “I also extended an invitation to Benny Gantz.”
“The White House apparently thinks the two sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict are the Israeli right and the Israeli center,” tweeted University of Maryland professor Shibley Telhami.
According to the Times of Israel, the deal drastically undercuts Palestinian hopes for recovering land stolen by Israeli settlements and allows Israel to expand its territory even further:

The plan will be unveiled next week, and is the most generous US proposal ever for Israel, an unsourced Channel 12 report said, likely providing for Israeli sovereignty over all West Bank settlements alongside a recognition of Palestinian statehood.
The network said the plan apparently includes a “significant moving of the [Israeli] border” eastwards, without specifying.
The plan is unlikely to net support from Palestinians, the Europeans, or Arab states, journalist Neri Zibler said, meaning that the deal may be primarily aimed at helping Netanyahu’s political prospects. But rejecting the plan comes with its own set of consequences.
“Real danger on the ground is what an Israeli government does afterwards,” said Zibler. “Push for annexation (per the American plan) will be intense.”
The American peace advocacy group J-Street said the deal is all about giving Israel the green light to take more territory.
“The plan is expected to be the culmination of a series of steps taken by Trump and his team to advance the annexationist agenda of Prime Minister Netanyahu and the far-right settlement movement in Israel,” the group wrote. “The known contours of the plan appear designed to formalize, entrench, and legitimize permanent Israeli control of the occupied West Bank and to undercut any prospect of Palestinian statehood via a two-state solution.”
Next week’s meeting to discuss the plan will come smack dab in the middle of the president’s impeachment trial in the Senate, timing that was not missed by observers.

The White House visit also comes on the very day Israel’s Knesset was scheduled to debate on whether or not Netanyahu’s position as Prime Minister makes the Israeli leader immune to prosecution on corruption charges.
Using the peace plan to distract both nations from their leaders’ foibles, tweeted PLO Executive Committee member Dr. Hanan Ashrawi, is “a lethal diversionary tactic at the expense of Palestinian rights and international law—criminality plus personal agendas equals no peace.”

False Flag? Highly Respected Fmr CIA Officer Giraldi Suggests US Hacked Ukrainian Transponder to Provoke Iran Shootdown

By Philip Giraldi.

Posted January 21, 2020 by Edward Morgan

.

Philip Giraldi, a former counter-terrorism specialist and military intelligence officer of the CIA, penned a piece in the American Herald Tribune speculating that the U.S. launched several cyber-attacks, one on an Iranian missile defense system, and another on the transponder of the doomed Ukrainian plane.
Giraldi explains the Iranian missile operator experienced extreme “jamming” and Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752’s transponder was switched off several minutes before the two Russian made Tor missiles were launched.
“The shutdown of the transponder, which would have automatically signaled to the operator and Tor electronics that the plane was civilian, instead automatically indicated that it was hostile. The operator, having been particularly briefed on the possibility of incoming American cruise missiles, then fired,” he said.
Support Russia Insider – Go Ad-Free!
Giraldi said the Tor missile system used by Iran is vulnerable to being hacked or “spoofed,” and at the same moment, Flight 752’s transponder was taken offline “to create an aviation accident that would be attributed to the Iranian government.”
The Pentagon has reportedly developed technologies that can trick enemy radars with false and deceptively moving targets, he said.
“The same technology can, of course, be used to alter or even mask the transponder on a civilian airliner in such a fashion as to send false information about identity and location. The United States has the cyber and electronic warfare capability to both jam and alter signals relating to both airliner transponders and to the Iranian air defenses. Israel presumably has the same ability,” Giraldi said.
Iran made the claim Wednesday that “enemy sabotage” cannot be ruled out in the downing of the plane.
Iranian Brigadier General Ali Abdollahi suggested the U.S. hacked missile defense systems to make it appear Flight 752 was an incoming missile.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani also accused the U.S. of being responsible for the downing of the plane, saying that:
Support Russia Insider – Go Ad-Free!
“The root of all sorrows goes back to America… this cannot be a reason for us not to look into all the root causes.”
He added that:
“One cannot believe that a passenger plane is struck near an international airport while flying in a [commercial] flight channel,” after previously saying that IRGC commanders were not the only ones involved in the plane downing, noting that “There were others, too.”
The Iranian parliament also stated that “we are in powerful confrontation with the criminal U.S. and do not allow a mistake… to pave the ground for misusing the issue by the enemies.”
Giraldi concludes by saying electronic warfare by the U.S. to bring down a civilian jet and blame it on Iran “suggests a premeditated and carefully planned event” to create a false flag for the next world war.

Google Has 10,000 Employees Censoring YouTube Videos, Some of Them Starting to Believe Conspiracy Theories

RealClearPolitics.

Posted January 14, 2020 by Edward Morgan.

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki tells Lesley Stahl what the video platform is doing about hate speech in an interview Sunday on the CBS newsmagazine program ’60 Minutes.’
Wojcicki told ’60 Minutes’ that Google employs 10,000 people to focus on “controversial content.” She described their schedule, which includes time for therapy. Stahl also said there are reports that the “monitors” are “beginning to buy the conspiracy theories.”
“What we really had to do was tighten our enforcement of that to make sure we were catching everything and we use a combination of people and machines,” Wojcicki explained. “So Google as a whole has about 10,000 people that are focused on controversial content.”
Lesley Stahl: I’m told that it is very stressful to be looking at these questionable videos all the time. And that there’s actually counselors to make sure that there aren’t mental problems with the people who are doing this work. Is that true?
Susan Wojcicki: It’s a very important area for us. We try to do everything we can to make sure that this is a good work environment. Our reviewers work five hours of the eight hours reviewing videos. They have the opportunity to take a break whenever they want.
Lesley Stahl: I also heard that these monitors, reviewers, sometimes, they’re beginning to buy the conspiracy theories.
Susan Wojcicki: I’ve definitely heard about that. And we work really hard with all of our reviewers to make sure that, you know, we’re providing the right services for them.

Perhaps the Middle East is More Stable When the US Stays Away

 By Trita Parsi.

Quincy Institute.

Posted January 10, 2020 by Edward Morgan.

.

It has been a mantra of U.S. foreign policy for a decade or more that, without the United States, the Middle East would descend into chaos. Or even worse, Iran would resurrect the Persian Empire and swallow the region whole.
Yet when U.S. President Donald Trump opted not to go to war with Iran after a series of Iranian-attributed attacks on Saudi Arabia last year and declared his intentions to pull troops out of the region, it wasn’t chaos or conquest that ensued. Rather, nascent regional diplomacy—particularly among Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates—and de-escalation followed. To be sure, the cards were reshuffled again in January, when Trump ordered the assassination of Qassem Suleimani, one of Iran’s most important military figures. Courtesy of Trump, the region is once more moving toward conflict, and the early signs of diplomatic progress achieved during the preceding months have vanished.
It is thus time for Washington to answer a crucial question that it has long evaded: Has America’s military dominance in the Middle East prevented regional actors from peacefully resolving conflicts on their own? And in that way, has it been an impediment to stability rather than the guarantor of it?
Following the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, U.S. President Jimmy Carter proclaimed a new doctrine: “An attempt by any outside force to gain control of the Persian Gulf region,” he stated, “will be regarded as an assault on the vital interests of the United States of America, and such an assault will be repelled by any means necessary, including military force.” In the context of the Cold War, preventing the Soviets—the main outside force Carter was worried about—from gaining control over the energy-rich region had a strategic logic.
But over time, that logic shifted. In the 1980s, U.S. President Ronald Reagan expanded the doctrine to include threats to the flow of oil originating from inside the region, too. As the geopolitical context changed still further, subsequent presidents found even more ways to justify America’s growing military presence in the Middle East. What started as a policy to prevent others from establishing hegemony over the oil-rich waters of the Persian Gulf morphed into a policy of asserting American hegemony in the region in order to “save” it.
As long as U.S. allies lack the capability or competence to secure the region, the thinking went, Washington would have no choice but to shoulder this responsibility. U.S. President George W. Bush was explicit about that; without an increase in U.S. troop levels in Iraq, he claimed, there would be chaos in the region. He missed the irony, of course, that his invasion of Iraq was the single most destabilizing event in the Middle East of the past decades.
As the scholars Hal Brands, Steven Cook, and Kenneth Pollack wrote endorsing the Carter Doctrine and its continuation, “the United States established and upheld the basic rules of conduct in the region: the United States would meet efforts to interfere with the free flow of oil by force; uphold freedom of navigation; demand that regional powers give up their irredentist claims on other states or face grave consequences; and prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.”
This account is accurate enough (although the last rule on the list always exempted Israel), but the story glosses over how the policy also gave cover to U.S. allies for some fairly destabilizing behaviors of their own. That’s an omission Brands makes in a Bloomberg article, too, where he points to Saudi Arabia’s slaughter of the Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi to argue that a “post-American Middle East will not be stable and peaceful. It will be even nastier and more turbulent than it is today.” And in the words of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham in 2018, “If it weren’t for the United States, they’d be speaking Farsi in about a week in Saudi Arabia.”
All this without a nod to the fact that, if anything, the United States’ protection of the Saudi regime has enabled its promotion of terrorism and its destabilizing activities in the region, which have, in turn, prompted further Iranian response.
Assertions about the United States’ pivotal role in the Middle East, no matter how often repeated, have not been proved true. Iran, ravaged by sanctions, corruption, and economic mismanagement, is nowhere near establishing hegemony in the region. Saudi Arabia spends more than five times as much on its military than does Iran; the entire Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)—Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE—outspends Iran by a factor of eight. Meanwhile, whereas Iran has no nuclear weapons yet undergoes more inspections than any other country, Israel has a nuclear weapons program with no international transparency whatsoever. Iran may have been adept at taking advantage of U.S. overextension and missteps in the last few decades, but establishing hegemony is a different matter altogether.
Further, the region did not fall into deeper chaos as a result of Trump’s earlier refusal to get into a shooting war with Iran after attacks by Iranian proxies against Saudi oil installations in September 2019. Critics lamented the president’s decision as an abandonment of the Carter Doctrine, calling it a disaster for the GCC and warning that it may even prompt Saudi Arabia to seek nuclear weapons.
Instead, recognizing that the U.S. military was no longer at their disposal, Saudi Arabia and the UAE began exercising the diplomatic options that had always been available to them. For its part, Saudi Arabia stepped up direct talks with Houthi rebels in Yemen as a way to ease tensions with their backer, Iran. The level of violence on both sides declined as a result, and more than 100 prisoners of war were released. In November, the United Nations’ Yemen envoy, Martin Griffiths, reported an 80 percent reduction in Saudi-led airstrikes, and there were no Yemeni deaths in the previous two weeks.
Riyadh also opted to reduce tensions with Qatar, a former ally that had become a nemesis. The Saudi government seemingly ordered its notorious Twitter army to tone down the insults against Qatar and its emir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and some sporting events between the two countries resumed, according to the New York Times.
Saudi officials also claimed that they had quietly reached out to Iran via intermediaries seeking ways to ease tensions. Tehran, in turn, welcomed the prospective Saudi-Qatari thaw and, according to the New York Times, floated a peace plan based on a mutual Iranian-Saudi pledge of nonaggression.
An even stronger change of heart occurred in Abu Dhabi. In July, the UAE started withdrawing troops from Yemen. The same month, it participated in direct talks with Tehran to discuss maritime security. It even released $700 million in funds to Iran in contradiction to the Trump administration’s maximum pressure strategy.
Some of these measures may have been more tactical than strategic. Saudi Arabia may have reduced tensions with Qatar and the Houthis in order to better situate itself for a confrontation with Tehran down the road or to offset international condemnation of its killing of Khashoggi, human rights abuses at home, and brutal tactics in Yemen. The UAE, too, may have felt that a tactical reduction of tensions was warranted.
Nevertheless, as the United States appeared poised to back out of the region, its erstwhile allies’ calculations tilted toward diplomacy. The Saudis and Emiratis simply had no choice but to cease some of their recklessness because they could no longer operate under the protection of the United States. If stability in the Middle East is the United States’ main goal, Washington should have celebrated rather than bemoaned these developments.
In the wake of the U.S. assassination of Suleimani—which some former U.S. officials have called an act of war—the calculations may change once more. According to Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi, Suleimani was in Iraq to bring him Tehran’s response to a message from Riyadh on how to defuse regional tensions, presumably as part of the House of Saud’s renewed interest in diplomacy. The Iraqis, according to him, were mediating between the two rivals, an initiative that has now been thrown into question.
Iran may very well conclude, rightly or wrongly, that Saudi Arabia and the UAE conspired with Washington to assassinate Suleimani and as a result not only end the recent diplomacy but also target Riyadh and Abu Dhabi as part of the revenge for Suleimani’s death. This is yet one more instance, it seems, in which U.S. activities in the region have brought more turmoil than stability.
To be sure, there is no guarantee that recent diplomatic efforts would have been successful. A more responsible Riyadh might not have begotten a more responsible Tehran. But it is noteworthy that diplomacy did not even begin in earnest until Washington clearly demonstrated its unwillingness to entangle itself in a war between Saudi Arabia and Iran. And by returning to the region in a show of military force, Trump may once again disincentivize the United States’ allies from taking diplomacy seriously. They may even interpret Suleimani’s killing as a license to resume their recklessness—activities like Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s purported kidnapping of the Lebanese prime minister and ordering of the dismemberment of Khashoggi; Saudi Arabia and the UAE’s imposition of a blockade on Qatar; and the two countries’ further destabilization of LibyaSyriaLebanonSudan, and Yemen.
As in the past, in other words, it seems as if the Middle East’s descent into chaos is more likely with the United States than without it.

George H. Walker Bush: The Bush Family and the Mexican Drug Cartel

By Prof Michel Chossudovsky.

prepareforchange.net

Posted January 2, 2020 by Edward Morgan.

Donald Trump has offered to intervene in Mexico, i.e. “to go after the Drug Cartels” following “the brutal killing of an American family in Mexico”. The Mexican president has turned down Trump’s generous offer.

In a recent interview, President Trump confirmed that his administration is now considering categorizing “drug cartels” as “terrorists”,  akin to Al Qaeda (with the exception that they are “Catholic terrorists”).

They would henceforth be designated by Washington as “foreign terrorist organizations”.
What is the intent?
Create a justification for US-led “counterterrorism” (military) operations inside Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America?
Extend the “War on Terrorism” to Latin America?  “Responsibility to Protect” (R2P). Go after the “Narco-terrorists”.
The unspoken truth is:
1. Al Qaeda and its related terrorist organizations (including ISIS) in the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia are creations of the CIA.
2. The CIA protects the multibillion dollar global drug trade as well as the Mexican drug cartels. Moreover, it is estimated that 300 billion dollars (annually) worth of drug money is routinely laundered in casinos across America including Las Vegas and Atlantic City… As well as in Macau. Guess who is the World’s richest casino owner.
4. Both American and Latin American politicians are known to have ties to the drug trade.
Flash back to the 1990s: George H. W. Bush, the dad of  Bush Junior had developed close personal ties with Carlos Salinas de Gortari (former president of Mexico) and his dad Raul Salinas Lozano who, according to the Dallas Morning News (February 27, 1997) was “a leading figure in narcotics dealings that also involved his son, Raul Salinas de Gortari…  And Raul was an intimo amigo of  Jeb Bush, (former Governor of Florida) and the brother of  George W, Bush.
The Bush family has ties to the Bin Laden Family as well as ties to the Salinas de Gortiari family. Is it relevant?
The following text was published in May 2015 under the title  Jeb Bush, the Mexican Drug Cartel and “Free Trade”. The Bush Family and Organized Crime. It also documents the signing of the North american Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) by a Mexican head state with links to the Drug Cartels.
Michel Chossudovsky, December 1, 2019
***
Jeb Bush is a presidential candidate.  [was in 2015]
But Jeb is not only the brother of George W. and the son of George H. W. Bush.
Jeb Bush also had close personal ties to Raul Salinas de Gortari, brother of Mexico’s former president Carlos Salinas de Gortari. In the 1990s, Raul the “drug kingpin”, according to Switzerland’s  federal prosecutor Carla del Ponte, was one of the main figures of the Mexican Drug Cartel.
Jeb Bush  –before becoming Governor of the Sunshine State– was a close friend of Raul Salinas de Gortiari (image right):

“There has also been a great deal of speculation in Mexico about the exact nature of Raul Salinas’ close friendship with former President George Bush’s son, Jeb. It is well known here that for many years the two families spent vacations together — the Salinases at Jeb Bush’s home in Miami, the Bushes at Raul’s ranch, Las Mendocinas, under the volcano in Puebla.
There are many in Mexico who believe that the relationship became a back channel for delicate and crucial negotiations between the two governments, leading up to President Bush’s sponsorship of NAFTA.” (Prominent intellectual and former foreign Minister of Mexico Jorge G. Castañeda, The Los Angeles Times. and Houston Chronicle, 9 March 1995, emphasis added)
The personal relationship between the Bush and Salinas families was a matter of public record. Former President George H. W. Bush  had developed close personal ties with Carlos Salinas and his father, Raul Salinas Lozano. (left)

Raul Salinas Lozano was the family patriarch, father of Carlos and Raul Junior. According to the former private secretary to Raul Salinas Lozano (in as statement to US authorities):
“… Mr. Salinas Lozano was a leading figure in narcotics dealings that also involved his son, Raul Salinas de Gortari, his son-in-law, Jose Francisco Ruiz Massieu, the No. 2 official in the governing Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, and other leading politicians, according to the documents. Mr. Ruiz Massieu was assassinated in 1994.” (Dallas Morning News, 26 February 1997, emphasis added).
Former president George H. W. Bush and Raul Salinas Lozano were “intimo amigos”.
According to former DEA official Michael Levine, the Mexican drug Cartel was a “family affair”. Both Carlos and Raul were prominent members of the Cartel. And this was known to then US Attorney General Edward Meese in 1987 one year prior to Carlos Salinas’ inauguration as the country’s president.
When Carlos Salinas was inaugurated as President, the entire Mexican State apparatus became criminalised with key government positions occupied by members of the Cartel. The Minister of Commerce in charge of trade negotiations leading up to the signing of NAFTA was Raul Salinas Lozano, father of Raul Junior the Drug kingpin and of Carlos the president.
And it is precisely during this period that the Salinas government launched a sweeping privatisation program under advice from the IMF.
The privatisation program subsequently evolved into a multibillion dollar money laundering operation. Narco-dollars were channelled towards the acquisition of State property and public utilities.
Richard Barnet of the Institute for Policy Studies, testified to the US Congress (April 14, 1994) that
“billions of dollars in state assets have gone to supporters and cronies” (Dallas Morning News, 11 August 1994).
These included the sale of Telefonos de Mexico, valued at $ 3.9 billion and purchased by a Salinas crony for $ 400 million.(Ibid).
Raul Salinas was behind the privatisation programme. He was known as ”El Señor 10 por Ciento” [Mr. 10 Percent] “for the slice of bid money he allegedly demanded in exchange for helping acquaintances acquire companies, concessions and contracts [under the IMF sponsored privatisation program]”(The News, InfoLatina, .Mexico, October 10, 1997).
The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
Raul Salinas de Gortari is the brother of  former president Carlos Salinas de Gortiari, who signed the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) in December 1992 alongside US President George H. W. Bush and Canada’s Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.(image left)

In a bitter irony, it was only after this historical event, that Carlos Salinas’ family links to the drug trade through his brother Raul were revealed.
The George H. W. Bush Senior administration was fully aware of the links of the Salinas presidency to organized crime. Public opinion in the US and Canada was never informed so as not to jeopardize the signing of NAFTA:
“Other former officials say they were pressured to keep mum because Washington was obsessed with approving NAFTA”.
“The intelligence on corruption, especially by drug traffickers, has always been there,” said Phil Jordan, who headed DEA’s Dallas office from 1984 to 1994. But “we were under instructions not to say anything negative about Mexico. It was a no-no since NAFTA was a hot political football.” (Dallas Morning News, 26 February 1997)
In other words, at the time the NAFTA Agreement was signed, both Bush Senior and Mulroney were aware that one of the signatories of NAFTA, namely president Salinas de Gortiari  had links to the Mexican Drug Cartel.
In 1995 in the wake of the scandal and the arrest of his brother Raul for murder, Carlos Salinas left Mexico to take up residence in Dublin. His alleged links to the Drug Cartel did not prevent him from being appointed to the Board of the Dow Jones Company on Wall Street, a position which he held until 1997:

Salinas, who left Mexico in March 1995 after his brother, Raul, was charged with masterminding the murder of a political opponent, has served on the company’s board for two years. He was questioned last year in Dublin by a Mexican prosecutor investigating the murder in March 1994 of Luis Donaldo Colosio, who wanted to succeed Salinas as president. A Dow Jones spokesman last week denied that Salinas had been forced out of an election for the new board, which will take place at the company’s annual meeting on April 16… Salinas, who negotiated Mexico’s entry into the free trade agreement with the United States and Canada, was appointed to the board because of his international experience. He was unavailable for comment at his Dublin home last week.” (Sunday Times, London, 30 March 1997).
Washington has consistently denied Carlos Salinas’ involvement. “it was his brother Raul”, Carlos Salinas “did not know”, the American media continued to uphold Salinas as a model statesman, architect of free trade in the Americas and a friend of the Bush family.
In October 1998, The Swiss government confirmed that the brother of the former Mexican president had deposited some 100 million dollars in drug money in Swiss banks:
“They [Swiss authorities] are confiscating the money, which they believe was part of a much larger amount paid to Raul Salinas for helping Mexican and Colombian drugs cartels during his brother’s six-year term ending in 1994. Mr Salinas’ lawyers have maintained he was legally heading an investment fund for Mexican businessmen but the Swiss federal prosecutor, Carla del Ponte, described Salinas’ business dealings as unsound, incomprehensible and contrary to customary business usage. (BBC Report)
A few months later in January 1999, after a four-year trial, Raúl Salinas de Gortari (left) was convicted of ordering the murder of his brother-in-law, Jose Francisco Ruiz Massieu:

“After [Carlos] Salinas left office in 1994, the Salinas family fell from grace in a swirl of drug-related corruption and crime scandals. Raúl was jailed and convicted on charges of money laundering and of masterminding the assassination of his brother-in-law; after spending 10 years in jail, Raúl was acquitted of both crimes.  …
With the scandal unraveling, Jeb’s friendship with Raúl did not go unnoticed. Jeb has never denied his friendship with Raúl, who [now] keeps a low profile in Mexico.
Kristy Campbell, spokesperson for Bush, did not respond a request for comment. The Salinas family’s demise caught the Bushes by surprise. “I have been very disappointed by the allegations about him and his family. I never had the slightest hint of information that President Salinas was anything but totally honest,” Bush senior  told me in the 1997 interview. (Dolia Estevez, Jeb Bush’s Mexican Connections, Forbes, April 7, 2015, emphasis added)
“The Salinas family’s demise caught the Bushes by surprise”? (Forbes, April 2015) The Bushes knew who they were all along.
Former DEA official Michael Levine confirmed that Carlos Salinas’ role in the Mexican drug cartel was known to US officials.
US President George H. W. Bush was  regularly briefed by officials from the Department of Justice, the CIA and the DEA.
Did Jeb Bush –who is now [2015] a candidate for the White House under a Republican ticket– know about Raul’s links to the Drug Cartel?.
Was the Bush family in any way complicit?
These are issues which must be addressed and debated by the American public across the land prior to the 2016 presidential primary elections.
According to Andres Openheimer writing in the Miami Herald (February 17 1997):
witnesses say former Mexican president Carlos Salinas de Gortari, his imprisoned brother Raul and other members of country’s ruling elite met with drug lord Juan Garcia Abrego at a Salinas family ranch; Jeb Bush admits he met with Raul Salinas several times but has never done any business with him.”
US authorities waited until after Carlos Salinas finished his presidential term to arrest Mexican drug lord Juan Garcia Abrego, who was a close collaborator of the president’s brother Raul. In turn, Raul Salinas was an “intimo amigo” of Jeb Bush :
Juan Garcia Abrego, a fugitive on the FBI’s most-wanted list, was flown to Houston late Monday, following his arrest by Mexican police …  Garcia Abrego, the reputed head of Mexico’s second most powerful drug cartel, had eluded authorities on both sides of the border for years. His arrest is an enormous victory for the U.S. and Mexican governments. CNN, January 16, 2015
But there is more than meets the eye: while the Bushes and the Salinas have longstanding ties, Wall Street was also involved in the laundering of drug money:
A U.S. official said the Justice Department has made significant advances in its money-laundering investigation against Raul Salinas de Gortari and has identified several people who can testify that the former first brother received protection money from a major narcotics cartel.
If the U.S. were to indict Mr. Salinas, it could have implications for a Justice Department investigation into possible money laundering by Citibank, where Mr. Salinas had some of his accounts. Citibank, a unit of Citicorp , has denied wrongdoing. (WSW, April 23, 2015)
The involvement of Citbank in the money laundering operation is documented by a Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs Report (US General Accounting Office  “Private Banking: Raul Salinas, Citibank, and Alleged Money Laundering” Washington, 1998).
.

The End Game
Raul Salinas de Gortiari was set free  in 2005. All charges were dropped.
The matter involving the Bushes and the Salinas has largely been forgotten.
Meanwhile, American political history has been rewritten…
Not to mention the 1992 “Free Trade” Agreement (NAFTA),  which was signed by a head of State with links to organized crime. Does that make it an illegal agreement? The legitimacy of NAFTA has so far not been the object of a legal procedure of judicial inquiry.
An “illegal NAFTA” sets the stage for the TPP and TTIP “agreements” negotiated behind closed doors.
All is well in the American Republic.
At least until the forthcoming 2016 presidential elections.

Why Israel wants Iran destroyed

By Greg Shupak.

national-justice.com.

Posted January 3, 2020 by Edward Morgan.

Israeli interests are served by mutual US-Iranian antagonism.
Amir CohenReuters

Much worried commentary is being written these days about the possibility of a US-led war on Iran.
The truth, of course, is there is already a war on Iran. And it is one that very much serves Israeli interests.
The US government is prosecuting an economic war on Iran while intensifying its military posture against the country, increasing land, sea and air positions on the basis of unsubstantiated claims that Iran might someday develop nuclear weapons, is the engine of violence in the Middle East, and is likely to initiate attacks against US “interests” or those of its proxies.
Such maneuvers must be understood in the context of the ways that Iran has functioned as an obstacle to US ruling class goals in the Middle East, a view shared by the Israeli ruling class for its own interests.
US and Israeli planners despise Iran principally because it is an independent regional power. It has a strong military and a foreign policy that includes providing material support for armed Palestinian resistance to Israel and for Hizballah’s defense of Lebanon from US-Israeli aggressions, including the joint invasion in 1982 and the US-backed Israeli assault in 2006.
Iran’s support was crucial to help Hizballah resist the US-backed Israeli occupation of the country.
Though in recent years Israel has come close to attacking Iran militarily and suggested in February that the US do so, it appears that for the moment Israel would prefer that the US not bomb or invade Iran because Hizballah would be able to inflict significant damage on Israel in response.
Instead Israel is hoping that Iran will be subjected to enough socioeconomic asphyxiation that its government will be overthrown or it will be subjected to even greater outside control than it was under the nuclear deal – a deal that Iran has abided by and from which the US pulled out last year.
Iran now says that, if sanctions continue to prevent it from profiting from its natural resources, it will also withdraw from the accord.

Weakening Iran

Weakening Iran, with a view toward regime change, has long been a major Israeli preoccupation, highlighted by such Israeli policies as assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists.
Iran hasn’t been close to having a nuclear bomb for 16 years and there’s evidence to suggest it never had anything resembling one.
Israel’s attacks on Syria are partly about Iran. The Syrian government has partnered with Iran in arming Palestinians and Hizballah. The Syrian Baath Party has its own history — however uneven — of confronting Israel militarily.
Israel, of course, also remains in occupation of Syria’s Golan Heights – whatever Donald Trump might say – and Israel has deepened its colonization there while arming anti-government groups and carrying out fatal bombings of Iranian and Hizballah targets in the country.
Furthermore, the threats against Iran need to be read against the backdrop of the anti-Iran alliance being forged between the US, Israel and several of the pro-US Middle Eastern dictatorships, notably Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
As Adam Entous of The New Yorker points out, the central ambition of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has been “to diminish the Palestinian cause as a focus of world attention and to form a coalition with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to combat Iran, which had long supported Hizballah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza.”
The leaders of both the UAE and Saudi Arabia have said that they regard Iran as a problem. And both the Emirates and the Saudis are “working together behind the scenes with Mossad” – Israel’s spy agency – against Iran.
Because the measures being taken against Iran are linked to the Palestinian issue, these machinations must also be seen in the context of the “Ultimate Deal,” the proposal for resolving the Palestinian question being put forth by Trump and his son-and-law and adviser Jared Kushner. This “peace package” aims to both permanently extinguish Palestinian national aspirations and neutralize Iran.

Making Palestine disappear

Reports suggest that the proposal involves the “enshrining of Israeli control of disputed territory” as well as denying Palestinian claims to sovereignty, the right of Palestinian refugees to return and offering Palestinians only non-contiguous territory.
The plan involves trying to bribe sectors of Palestinian society into accepting it with funds that the US is hoping will largely come from the US-allied governments in the region. And the UAE and Saudi Arabia, have been pressuring the Palestinian Authority into accepting the ludicrously unfair deal so that the Palestinian issue will disappear and the anti-Iran axis – bringing together the US, Israel and the Gulf states – can be fully consummated.
Another manifestation of this anti-Iran alliance is Israel’s support for the attack on Yemen by a coalition involving the US, Saudi Arabia, the UK, the UAE and Canada – a war that is ostensibly aimed at Iran’s purported Houthiallies and that has left the country suffering the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
Israel has shared intelligence with members of the coalition. The UAE is understood to have bought military equipment from Israel. And Israeli-manufactured ordnance has been used in the attacks on Yemen.
These sales, alongside the obscene amounts transferred between the US and its Saudi and Israeli clients in weapons deals, underscore that the US-Gulf-Israeli aggression against Iran is not only about politics but also an economic system in which the ruling classes of each country enrich themselves at the expense of the Palestinians and other disenfranchised and exploited peoples.
The prospect of further lucrative ties to Israel no doubt helps explain why the undemocratic governments of the Gulf are racing to, as The Electronic Intifada’s Tamara Nassar puts it, sacrifice the Palestinians for a marriage with Israel — a ceremony at which the US is officiant.
The political and economic assault on Iran, as well as any military attack against it, should one materialize, is not only a war for Iran’s future. It is a war for the entire region.

The Hague vs. Israel: Everything you need to know about the ICC Palestine probe

By Raphael Ahren.

timesofisrael.com.

December 25, 2019 by Edward Morgan.

.

Late last Friday afternoon, minutes before Shabbat started in Israel, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court dropped a legal bombshell when she announced her intention to launch an investigation into alleged war crimes committed in the Palestinian territories.
How exactly the process she set in motion will end is entirely open: A worst-case scenario, from an Israeli perspective, would see Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former and current defense ministers and army chiefs finding themselves in the dock in The Hague, accused of war crimes, a few years from now.
Alternatively, the ICC brouhaha could end in a few months with the court deciding that it doesn’t have the jurisdiction to deal with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and simply closing the case.
Unsurprisingly, the Palestinians hailed Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda’s decision as the beginning of the end of Israeli impunity, while the government in Jerusalem denounced it as outrageous, absurd and illegal under international law. Netanyahu went as far as calling it “pure anti-Semitism.”
One can debate whether such rhetoric helps or hurts Israel’s case, and one should not forget that it’s election season here. Either way, Bensouda’s decision, five years in the making, is based on complex legal arguments, which is why even veteran reporters writing for some of the country’s most-read newspapers have erred on central points.
The headline of Sunday’s Yedioth Ahronoth, for instance, decried, in huge letters, “The Hague’s hypocrisy,” arguing that the ICC was after Israel but does not bother to investigate other ostensible perpetrators of war crimes.
In fact, Bensouda explicitly also said that there is “is a reasonable basis to believe that members of Hamas and Palestinian armed groups” committed various war crimes.

Indeed, Bensouda indicated that Israel’s legal system, which probes alleged wrongdoing by Israeli soldiers, may be good enough to render the ICC’s involvement redundant and thus inadmissible. The total lack of accountability for actions carried out by Hamas, however, does not raise that question for the other side, she determined.
What follows are seven questions and answers that aim to explain the significance of Bensouda’s decision.

1. What exactly did the prosecutor announce on Friday?

Bensouda stated that “following a thorough, independent and objective assessment of all reliable information available to my Office,” she has concluded a preliminary examination “into the situation in Palestine” which started in early 2015. Her office found that there is a “reasonable basis to proceed with an investigation.”
At the same time, she acknowledged that The Hague may not have the jurisdiction to deal with Israel/Palestine. Hence she asked for a ruling by three ICC judges to determine the scope of the court’s territorial jurisdiction.
The prosecutor herself believes “Palestine,” which acceded to the Rome Statute, the court’s foundational document, in early 2015, is enough of a state for the purposes of transferring criminal jurisdiction over its territory to the court.
The ICC hence can investigate alleged crimes that were carried out anywhere in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, according to her view.
However, acknowledging the “unique and highly contested legal and factual issues” regarding the question of Palestinian statehood, she requested that the ICC’s so-called pretrial chamber “rule expeditiously” on where, if anywhere at all, the court has jurisdiction.
“The resolution of this foundational issue is necessary now for several reasons,” she wrote.
“First, it will allow judicial consideration of an essential question before embarking on a course of action which might be contentious… Second, an early ruling will facilitate the practical conduct of the Prosecutor’s investigation by both demarcating the proper scope of her duties and powers with respect to the situation and preempting a potential dispute regarding the legality of her requests for cooperation.”

2. What exactly did she accuse Israel and the Palestinians of?

In her 112-page report issued Friday, the prosecutor said there is “a reasonable basis to believe that war crimes were committed” by both the Israel Defense Forces and Hamas and other “Palestinian armed groups.”
First, in the framework of 2014’s Operation Protective Edge, the 50-day war waged against Gaza terrorists, Israel is accused of:
  • intentionally launching at least three disproportionate attacks
  • willful killing and willfully causing serious injuries
  • intentionally attacking Red Cross personnel or institutions.
Hamas and other armed groups are accused of:
  • intentionally attacking Israeli civilians
  • using Palestinian civilians as human shields
  • willfully depriving civilians of the rights to a fair trial
  • willful killing
  • torture or inhuman treatment
  • “outrages upon personal dignity,” which refers to humiliating and degrading treatment.

In the context of discussing Protective Edge, the prosecutor notes that the IDF has launched investigations into alleged wrongdoing by its soldiers and “the existence of pending proceedings in relation to other allegations.”
Given that the ICC can only open proceedings if a country’s government fails to properly investigate such allegations, Bensouda wrote that she will have to keep reviewing the “scope and genuineness of relevant domestic proceedings” that remain ongoing.
However, she noted, there is no question that the crimes allegedly committed by Palestinian groups in Gaza are not being investigated and are thus fair game for the ICC.
Second, Israel may have committed war crimes by promoting the settlement movement. According to paragraph 8(2)(b)(viii) of the Rome Statute, the “transfer, directly or indirectly, by the Occupying Power of parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies” is considered a war crime.
Third, Bensouda says her investigation may also probe alleged crimes committed by IDF troops using “non-lethal and lethal means” to fend off Gazans who, often at the behest of Hamas, rioted weekly at the border fence with Israel during the so-called “March of Return,” which began in March 2018.

3. How will the pretrial chamber rule, and when will we know?

The pretrial chamber was given 120 days to issue its judgment on the scope of the court’s jurisdiction. So it seems very likely that its decision will only be publicized after the next Israeli elections, and possibly only after a new government is formed in Jerusalem.

Péter Kovács (Courtesy ICC-CPI/Max Koot)
What the chamber’s three judges — Péter Kovács, of Hungary, Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, of France, and Reine Adélaïde Sophie Alapini-Gansou, of Benin — are going to rule is anyone’s guess.
They could adopt Israel’s position, that the ICC has no jurisdiction over Israel/Palestine whatsoever.
Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit on Friday afternoon published a 34-page legal opinion explaining in great detail why he is convinced that the the ICC “manifestly lacks jurisdiction” over the case because “no sovereign Palestinian State is in existence” that could delegate to the court criminal jurisdiction over its territory and nationals.
But if the judges are unmoved by his thesis, they are likely to endorse Bensouda’s position, which posits that the “resolution of broader questions regarding Palestinian Statehood is unnecessary” as long as “Palestine” acceded to the Rome Statute and formally became a “State Party” to the court.

Alternatively, the three judges could rule that the court has jurisdiction only over East Jerusalem and the West Bank, but not Gaza — since the Palestinian Authority does not control the coastal enclave.
Or they could decide that jurisdiction only extends to Areas A and B of the West Bank, which according to the Oslo Accords is the area where Palestinians have administrative control, as opposed to Area C, where Israel retained complete territorial jurisdiction.

4. What happens during the 120 days?

Bensouda on Friday urged the pretrial chamber to allow various relevant parties to make their case regarding jurisdiction. While she is not saying so explicitly, she appeared to be encouraging the judges to invite Israeli officials to participate in the process.
During the last five years, the prosecution learned that both Israelis and Palestinians, as well as their respective supporters, have detailed views on the question of jurisdiction, she wrote. Hence an “open, participatory process” to settle the question is desirable, “so that the spectrum of relevant perspectives may be properly assessed.”

The Palestinians will happily join any hearing in The Hague. The Israeli side hasn’t announced yet whether it will participate in such a process. On the one hand, Israel may want to take advantage of the opportunity to directly influence the judges of the pretrial chamber. Legal experts in Jerusalem believe their case is much stronger than Ramallah’s.
Marc Perrin de Brichambaut. (Mikhail Evstafiev / Wikipedia)
“We will struggle for our rights and for our historical truth with all the tools at our disposal,” Netanyahu vowed Sunday during the weekly cabinet meeting.
“We will continue to struggle against this always,” he said.
On the other hand, participating in the process would lend legitimacy to the proceedings, some officials argue.
In the past, Jerusalem has often opted not to cooperate, for instance, with UN Human Rights Council probes into Israel’s behavior lest it be seen as legitimizing an organization it deems hopelessly biased.

5. What happens after the 120 days are up?

If the pretrial chamber rules that the court does not have jurisdiction to deal with the matter, the Palestinians can turn to the court’s appeals chamber, which consists of five judges. Their decision could be expected to follow within a few months.
Israel, however, could not appeal a decision saying the ICC does have jurisdiction over the “situation in Palestine,” as it is not a member of the court. It is unclear whether a third state, which is a member of the court and well-disposed toward the Jewish state (for example the UK, Hungary, Canada or Brazil), could legally challenge the pretrial chamber’s ruling.

6. If the court is deemed to have jurisdiction over “Palestine,” what happens next?

If the prosecutor is given the green light by the pretrial chamber, and once the appeals process is exhausted, “Palestine” would join Uganda, Kenya, Libya, Mali, Georgia and half a dozen other conflict zones currently under ICC investigation.
Reine Adélaïde Sophie Alapini-Gansou (Courtesy: ICC-CPI)
While during the preliminary examination the prosecutor relied on publicly available information, the investigation is a criminal process, which could have quite dramatic consequences for Israeli officials.
During her investigation, she will have to gather witness testimony to establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
To do that, Bensouda has the right to issue arrest warrants for individuals she wants to interview.
All 123 member states of the court are theoretically obligated to cooperate with such arrest warrants, which could severely impair Israeli officials’ ability to travel to Europe, South America and Africa.

In practice, however, states have often not cooperated with the prosecutor’s requests. Canada, for instance, told the court years ago that it doesn’t recognize Palestine and therefore won’t cooperate with her requests on the matter.
It is entirely unclear how long the investigation would last. It took Bensouda half a decade to conclude her preliminary examination, and the actual investigation, during which she must re-investigate everything from scratch, could be expected to take many long years as well.
Bensouda’s term as chief prosecutor ends in June 2021. But even if her successor decided to conclude the investigation with indictments for Israeli (and Palestinian) officials, the path from this to a trial and eventual convictions would also be very, very long.
The ICC has very limited resources, and only tries defendants it can get its hands on. An Israeli official who doesn’t want to be put in the dock could simply stay at home or limit his or her travel to the many countries that do not cooperate with the court.

7. Does the ICC unfairly single out Israel for censure?

It is certainly possible to argue that getting dragged into the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not a good look for the court. A bloody civil war has been raging for years in Syria with hundreds of thousands dead and millions displaced; there are massive human rights violations in China, Myanmar, Iran, North Korea and elsewhere; and The Hague does nothing.
Instead, the ICC, which seeks to prosecute only the “most serious crimes of international concern,” is gearing up to investigate a Western democracy that insists it is fighting defensive conflicts against brutal terrorist organizations, and building homes on disputed territory captured in a defensive war.

PM Netanyahu at the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem, December 22, 2019. (Marc Israel Sellem)
“Who are they accusing here? Iran? Turkey? Syria? No — Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. This is terrible hypocrisy,” Netanyahu said Sunday.
On the other hand, this “whataboutism” argument isn’t entirely straightforward, either. The aforementioned states, like Israel, are not members of the ICC and the court thus does not have jurisdiction over crimes committed on their respective territories.
The ICC did not choose to get involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It did not initiate the process. Indeed, it is reasonable to assume that the court, with its limited resources and already poor reputation, was hoping to stay far away from it. However, it was dragged into it by the Palestinians. Frustrated with the lack of progress in the peace process, Ramallah viewed The Hague as a convenient arena to score potent points against Israel.

ICC’s prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, right, and deputy prosecutor James Stewart, center, at the International Criminal Court, ICC, in The Hague, Netherlands, Friday Nov. 23, 2018. (Piroschka van de Wouw/pool/AP)
However, it can be counter-argued, the prosecutor could have easily rejected the case by determining that the ICC does not have jurisdiction because Palestine is not a state. Whether she chose the opposite path out of purely legalistic or political-ideological reasons we may never know definitively. But we will find out soon enough whether the pretrial chamber agrees with or reject her arguments.
In the meantime, it is worth noting that the prosecutor’s announcement last week did not come as a surprise to Israel. For the last five years, senior politicians, including those on the right, were keenly aware that Bensouda was watching Israel’s every step. Netanyahu’s vocal support for expanding the settlement enterprise, including his recent repeated vows to annex significant portions of the West Bank, self-evidently did not help convince her to close the case and let it be.

How to Find Good Meditation Music

By Nicholas H. Parker

Guest Writer.

Posted December 20, 2019 by Edward Morgan

.

Have you ever stopped to wonder why it is that we people are so keen on playing music? Think about it for a time…what is might reason why we listen to music in any respect?
Because it is mood-altering in the broadest sense, the reason why we enjoy playing music is. Whenever we listen to music, probably the most immediate consequences we experience take place on an emotional level. Audio can be extremely effective in this regard. Infact, whatever makes an audio can have a powerful and quick impact on us.
Positive Effect
Currently finished about your sensations is the fact that they strongly influence the functioning of the actual body and of your mind. Whilst your sensations of peace begin to develop and expand, you could possibly begin to recognize other positive effects. Expand and your breathing begins to slow down, leading to an increase in air supply for organs and your muscles. Your heartbeat slows down as well as your blood pressure stabilizes. your body’s production of stress-related hormones and muscle tension subsides, like cortisol for instance, starts to diminish.
Not only does this result in a happier and much more stress-free you, it may also bring about superior recovery from intense exercise or harm and a noticeable difference in the functioning of the immune system.
Getting time to listen to some soothing meditation music may appear just like a simplistic treatment for most of these problems, but the truth is, it is generally a very efficient option indeed! Your mental condition can gradually attuned for the comforting sounds, leading to feelings of peace and reassurance, once you pay attention to yoga audio, or any type of slow, soothing music.
Stress Relieving
Who would have thought that by simply hearing audio, it’s possible to encounter numerous advantages on a lot of levels! Certainly, not all types of music bring about such benefits, and that’s why it is so important that you pay attention to relaxation music if you want to become healthier, happier and much more peaceful. In the end, music can induce or calm you. It might alleviate strain and stress can be induced by it. It might lift you or push you. It might open your heart, or it could enrage you. You’re able to really use this information in your favor, once you appreciate how powerful audio may be, and how much of an effect it might have on your emotions, your mind and your body. Take a moment out (and when I say “timeout” after all really quit that which you are doing, lay back and listen carefully) with an enjoyable relaxation audio and try it on your own.
You’ve seen the advertisements. You’ve read the claims. You may have also noticed the WONDERFUL reports of other-people who’ve utilized them. Meditation MP3′s, or audio made to entrain the mind into a deep meditative state, have become super-popular in recent years, and they merely continue to cultivate in-demand.
Ubiquitous Music
Music is everywhere. In this modern day and age we are surrounded by it. At home, inside the vehicle, at your neighborhood shopping mall, to the Television. We’re in deep love with audio! All this just goes to show how much we are mental creatures. We love to be aroused. We like to express ourselves. We love to experience.
Meditation Music
But imagine if the feelings you are experiencing are annoying? Imagine if you’re feeling anxious, exhausted meditation music or frustrated? Imagine if you are feeling disappointed or angry? What-if you are ill?
For instance, perhaps you have been so handled with a gorgeous bit of audio that you cried? Perhaps you have cringed at the sound of fingernails being drawn down a chalkboard? Most people can truthfully answer “yes” to both these issues.
Whenever you grab your favorite CD or start radio stations, essentially, that which you are saying with your motion is, “I want to alter the way in which I’m”.
Good question! There are numerous different sessions of noise associated with improving meditation. You will find easy enjoyable hues …like chimes, bells and sometimes even character looks that lots of people appreciate. After which you can find what are referred to as bi-nural beats, or “brain entrainment” technology, which are an ENTIRELY different kettle of fish altogether.
How Do Yoga MP3 Help to Increase Relaxation?
The reality? Bi-nural beats, or perhaps the form of sounds set up to induce really heavy, extremely detailed meditations, are scientifically-proven to “practice” the mind to enter an incredibly strong altered state of consciousness in a secure way…without drugs or risk. They can accelerate your capability to reflect like a “expert”…and several discover they are able to leap-frog the learning curve completely, and also have powerful meditative activities quickly. The COMPOSITION of how this happens is well past the setting of this particular post, nevertheless the actual theory is, these very specific looks are made to automatically create a very calm or quite distinct state within your brain waves…by giving an alternative undetectable tone into each hearing. These mp3′s may be made to increase from ALPHA waves for increased learning and maintenance, all the way to facilitating DELTA mind states, associated with deep, formless states of consciousness frequently associated with happy, as well as spiritually transformative experiences. (really cool…very easy and a good deal of fun to boot!)

Next Gen Farming Without Soil and 90% Less Water ( You can grow a Variety of Plants Without ANY Soil and 90% LESS Water )

By Amy S.

prepperfortress.com.

Posted December 15, 2019 by Edward Morgan.

.

Vertical farming with Tower Gardens is on the ‘rise’ and rightfully so. You can grow a variety of plants without ANY soil and 90% LESS water. It also requires 10x less space so you can do a lot more in a smaller area. That means easily growing fresh herbs, fruits, vegetables, and flowers both indoors and out. And because everything is grown and picked fresh, the flavor is unbelievable!
What Is Vertical Farming?
Vertical farming is the practice of producing food on vertically inclined surfaces. Instead of farming vegetables and other foods on a single level, such as in a field or a greenhouse, this method produces foods in vertically stacked layers commonly integrated into other structures like a skyscraper, shipping container or repurposed warehouse.
Using Easy and cheap DIY Aquaponic system technology, this modern idea uses indoor farming techniques. The artificial control of temperature, light, humidity, and gases makes producing foods and medicine indoor possible. In many ways, vertical farming is similar to greenhouses where metal reflectors and artificial lighting augment natural sunlight. The primary goal of vertical farming is maximizing crops output in a limited space.

How Vertical Farming Works
There are four critical areas in understanding how vertical farming works: 1. Physical layout, 2. Lighting, 3. Growing medium, and 4. Sustainability features.

Firstly, the primary goal of vertical farming is producing more foods per square meter. To accomplish this goal, crops are cultivated in stacked layers in a tower life structure. Secondly, a perfect combination of natural and artificial lights is used to maintain the perfect light level in the room. Technologies such as rotating beds are used to improve lighting efficiency.
Thirdly, instead of soil, aeroponic, aquaponic or hydroponic growing mediums are used. Peat moss or coconut husks and similar non-soil mediums are very common in vertical farming. Finally, the vertical farming method uses various sustainability features to offset the energy cost of farming. In fact, vertical farming uses 95 percent less water.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Vertical Farming
Vertical farming has a lot of promise and sounds like the farm of the future. However, there are a few stumbling blocks to consider before rushing full-speed ahead into vertical farming.

Advantages
It offers a plan to handle future food demands

It allows crops to grow year-round
It uses significantly less water
Weather doesn’t affect the crops
More organic crops can be grown
There is less exposure to chemicals and disease

Disadvantages
It could be very costly to build and economic feasibility studies haven’t yet been completed

Pollination would be very difficult and costly
It would involve higher labor costs
It relies too much on technology and one day of power loss would be devastating

Advantages of Vertical Farming
Having greater output from a small cultivation area is not the only advantage of vertical farming. Following are some of the major benefits of vertical farming:

Preparation for Future: By 2050, around 80 percent of the world population is expected to live in urban areas, and the growing population will lead to an increased demand for food. The efficient use of vertical farming may perhaps play a significant role in preparing for such a challenge.
Increased And Year-Round Crop Production: Vertical farming allows us to produce more crops from the same square footage of growing area. In fact, 1 acre of an indoor area offers equivalent production to at least 4-6 acres of outdoor capacity. According to an independent estimate, a 30-story building with a basal area of 5 acres can potentially produce an equivalent of 2,400 acres of conventional horizontal farming. Additionally, year-round crop production is possible in a controlled indoor environment which is completely controlled by vertical farming technologies.
Less Use Of Water In Cultivation: Vertical farming allows us to produce crops with 70-95 percent less water than required for normal cultivation.
Not Affected By Unfavorable Weather Conditions: Crops in a field can be adversely affected by natural calamities such as torrential rains, cyclones, flooding or severe droughts—events which are becoming increasingly common as a result of global warming. Indoor vertical farms are less likely to feel the brunt of the unfavorable weather, providing greater certainty of harvest output throughout the year.
Increased Production of Organic Crops: As crops are produced in a well-controlled indoor environment without the use of chemical pesticides, vertical farming allows us to grow pesticide-free and organic crops.

Human and Environmentally Friendly: Indoor vertical farming can significantly lessen the occupational hazards associated with traditional farming. Farmers are not exposed to hazards related to heavy farming equipment, diseases like malaria, poisonous chemicals and so on. As it does not disturb animals and trees inland areas, it is good for biodiversity as well.

Limitations of Vertical Farming
Vertical farming has both pros and cons. Sometimes the pros of vertical farming are highlighted and not the cons. Following are the major limitations of vertical farming:

No Established Economics: The financial feasibility of this new farming method remains uncertain. The cost of building skyscrapers for farming, combined with other costs such as lighting, heating, and labor, can easily outweigh the benefits we can get from the output of vertical farming. For a 60 hectare vertical farm, the building cost can be well over $100 million. And while vertical farms will be attractive to locate close to cities, the high price of real estate will impede the financial viability of urban locations. The financial situation is changing, however, as the industry matures and technologies improve. For example, New Jersey-based indoor-farming startup Bowery announced in December 2018 that it had raised $90 million in fresh funding. In 2017, Plenty, a West Coast vertical grower, announced a $200 million investment from Softbank.
Difficulties with Pollination: Vertical farming takes place in a controlled environment without the presence of insects. As such, the pollination process needs to be done manually, which will be labor intensive and costly.
Labor Costs: As high as energy costs are in vertical farming, labor costs can be even higher due to their concentration in urban centers where wages are higher, as well as the need for more skilled labor. Automation in vertical farms, however, may lead to the need for fewer workers. Manual pollination may become one of the more labor-intensive functions in vertical farms. Over the next 10 years, vertical farming may generate 100,000 U.S. jobs.

Too Much Dependency on Technology: The development of better technologies can always increase efficiency and lessen costs. But the entire vertical farming is extremely dependent on various technologies for lighting, maintaining temperature, and humidity. Losing power for just a single day can prove very costly for a vertical farm. Many believe the technologies in use today are not ready for mass adoption.

The vertical farming sector is growing rapidly in the U.S., at a CAGR of more than 24% between 2018-2024, when it is expected to reach $3 billion annually. By comparison, the total U.S. fresh fruit and vegetable industry is currently worth over $104 billion. According to one account, “Shoppers can now find produce grown indoors by more than 23 large vertical farms in more than 20 supermarket chains in nearly every major metropolitan area in the country.”

The industry remains highly leveraged, however, sparking concerns for its viability, when survival depends on expansion, and expansion is so capital intensive. According to the same source, “While industry leaders say scaling offers the best hope for profitability in this business, many vertical farms have encountered problems when they began planning to add additional production facilities.”
Would you like to see a garden that needs no watering, no digging, no fertilizing, no weeding and produces fresh, organic food on auto-pilot, year after year? One that can yield up to 8 times more produce than traditional gardens1, to feed you and your family in times of crisis with some of the healthiest, tastiest, most nutritious food you could possibly eat… and it can fit right in your back yard.
This amazing food farm works under some of the most extreme weather conditions, in places such as the Jordanian Desert, South Africa, China, Australia and in every corner of the United States, including Alaska.
Because of the brilliant way in which it is designed, this survival garden is completely hidden in plain sight from nosy neighbors and the hungry looters that will roam the streets post-collapse in search for food. NO ONE will ever figure out that you have an endless supply of food right in your backyard.
In this pocket-sized Paradise, fruit trees, veggies and medicinal plants all live together in perfect harmony… taking care of each-other… surviving and thriving the way they did for hundreds of thousands of years: without human intervention.
A permaculture garden or farm is truly a slice of Heaven: flowers, veggies, fruit trees, bees, insects, worms, tiny microorganisms, weeds and even backyard animals are all part of this perfect ecosystem that thrives under one condition: that you don’t mess with it.
I’m talking about beans, potatoes, carrots, spinach, squash, berries… and hundreds of other plants and fruit trees… all on auto-pilot, all regenerative.
This special type of garden can feed yourself and your family in times of crisis and is actually healthier than gardening and is perfect for survival purposes. It is called permaculture and it’s a method of replicating nature’s way of growing food with little effort in your own back yard.
Me and my two gardening experts created the only true survival gardening course on the market, that will ensure you always have a “stockpile”…

The Fraud of Anti-Semitism Exposed

By Phil Guiraldi.

prepareforchange.net

Posted December 14, 2019 by Edward Morgan.

.

“Newspeak” was the expression coined in George Orwell’s novel 1984 to describe the ambiguous or deliberately misleading use of language to make political propaganda and narrow the “thought options” of those who are on the receiving end. In the context of today’s political discourse, or what passes for the same, it would be interesting to know what George would think of the saturation use of “anti-Semitism” as something like a tactical discussion stopper, employed to end all dispute while also condemning those accused of the crime as somehow outside the pale, monsters who are consigned forever to derision and obscurity.
The Israelis and, to be sure, many diaspora Jews know exactly how the expression has been weaponized. Former Israeli Minister Shulamit Aloni explained how it is done: “Anti-Semitic . . . It’s a trick; we always use it.”
Indeed, a claim of anti-Semitism even crept into the current impeachment inquiry in Washington, where Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.) questioned National Security Council member Fiona Hill about suggestions from “conspiracy theorists” that Hill herself as well as former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch have been linked to George Soros, and that Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a Ukrainian Jew, might not be completely loyal to the United States.
Krishnamoorthi asked, “Would you say that these different theories, these conspiracy theories targeting you, spun in part by people like [Roger] Stone, as well as fueled by Rudy Giuliani and others, basically have a tinge of anti-Semitism to them, at least?”
Hill answered, “Well, certainly when they involve George Soros, they do.”
Krishnamoorthi, who is seeking a career in politics, understands that pandering to Jewish power in America is essential, so his question was more an expression of where his own loyalty lies than serious. And his query is rooted in what appears in the U.S. mainstream media, reflective as it nearly always is of a certain institutional Jewish viewpoint. One would think from the New York Times and Washington Post that there has been a dramatic increase in anti-Semitism worldwide, but that claim is largely a fabrication that is being exploited to support making any criticism of Israel and Jewish group behavior a hate crime.
What has been taking place is not hatred of Jews but rather a rejection of how Israel and major Jewish organizations behave. Foremost is the undeniable fact that Israel has been acting particularly badly, even by its admittedly low standards. Its weekly slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza has been unusually observable in spite of media attempts to avoid mentioning it, plus its frequent attacks on Syria and demands for war against Iran have also raised questions about the intentions of whatever kleptocratic regime emerges in Tel Aviv in the near future.
That all means that the perception of Israel, which boasts that it is the exclusively Jewish state composed of people chosen by God, inevitably raises questions about the international Jewish community that provides much of its support. But it is important to understand that the hostility towards Zionism as a political movement is mostly driven by Israeli behavior, not by Jews as an ethnicity or as a religion.
The alleged increase in anti-Semitic incidents is largely fueled by how those incidents are defined. Israel and its friends have worked hard to broaden the parameters of the discussion, making any criticism of Israel or its activities ipso facto an anti-Semitic incident. The State Department’s working definition of anti-Semitism includes “the targeting of the state of Israel” and it warns that anti-Semitism is a criminal offense. Recent legislation in Washington and also in Europe has criminalized hitherto legal and non-violent efforts to pressure Israel regarding its inhumanity vis-à-vis the Palestinians. Legitimate criticism of Israel thereby becomes both anti-Semitism and criminal, increasing the count of so-called anti-Semitic incidents. That means that the numbers inevitably go up, providing fodder to validate a repressive response.
One might add that Hollywood, the mainstream media, and academia have contributed to the allegations regarding surging anti-Semitism, relentlessly unleashing a torrent of material rooting out alleged anti-Semites, while simultaneously heaping praise on Israel and its achievements.
Professor of Holocaust Studies Deborah Lipstadt has written a book Anti-Semitism: Here and Now about what she regards as the new anti-Semitism, supporting her belief that it is getting markedly worse in both Europe and the U.S. There is also a movie about her confrontation with holocaust critic David Irving called Denial.
All of the media exposure of so-called anti-Semitism has a political objective, whether intended or not, which is to insulate Israel itself from any criticism and to create for all Jews the status of perpetual victimhood which permits many in the diaspora to unflinchingly support a foreign country against the interests of the nations where they were born, raised, and made their fortunes. That is called dual loyalty and, in spite of frequent denials from Israel-apologists, it clearly exists for many American Jews, who are passionate about the Jewish state, including members of the Trump Administration Avi Berkowitz, David Friedman, and Jared Kushner.
Much of the recent activity to silence critics of Israel has, ironically, taken place on university campuses, where free speech has been revoked because some Jewish students have claimed to be threatened by criticism of the Jewish state. The growing non-violent Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction movement (BDS) on campus is rightly perceived as a major threat by both the Israeli government and the Israel lobby in the United States. Twenty-seven states and Congress have either passed or intend to vote on legislation penalizing its supporters.
To combat the BDS movement, a recent document entitled A Hotbed for Hate: A Comprehensive Dossier of Antisemitism at Columbia University and Barnard College Since the 2016-2017 Academic Year has been published by a Jewish group in New York City that calls itself “Alums for Campus Fairness.” It claims to be a meticulous documentation of anti-Semitism in action at the two colleges, but when one goes through the entire 33 pages, nearly all the citations relate to protests, speeches, or writing concerning Israel and its inhumane treatment of the Palestinians.
The campaign to eliminate any criticism of Israel or the standard narratives that support the creation of the Jewish state is indeed unrelenting, and where the claim of anti-Semitism is not enough, allegations of Holocaust denial become the ultimate weapons. Karen Pollock of the Holocaust Education Trust said in January, “One person questioning the truth of the Holocaust is one too many.” That is nonsense. Any, and all, historical events should be questioned regularly, a principle that is particularly true regarding developments that carry a lot of emotional baggage. The Israel Lobby would have all Americans believe that any criticism of Israel is motivated by historic hatred of Jews and is therefore anti-Semitism. Don’t believe it. When the AIPAC crowd screams that linking Jews and money is a classic anti-Semitic trope respond by pointing out that Jews and money are very much in play in the corruption of Congress and the media over Israel.
Terrible things are being done in the Middle East in the name of Jews and of Israel, who make the war criminals appear to be victims every time they raise the issue of anti-Semitism. Just recall what the Israeli minister admitted: “It’s a trick; we always use it.”

New Chinese “Levitating” Train Can Travel From Beijing To Shanghai Faster Than A Plane

By Mayukh Saha.

https://prepareforchange.net

Posted December 13, 2019 by Edward Morgan.

Planes are our first choice when it comes to traveling to far off places. It’s faster and helps us save precious hours. But what if there comes a train that travels faster than airplanes?
China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation has recently put forward the idea of a superfast ‘maglev’ train. ‘Maglev’ refers to the process of levitating trains off their tracks. Magnetic repulsion is used to keep the train off the ground and keep pushing it forward. The loss of friction between the wheels and the tracks helps trains achieve astonishing speeds. The train floats on a cushion of air with the 2-inch gap between the body of the train and the magnetic tracks.
CRRC’s Maglev bullet train is expected to hit speeds of 373mph which will put it as a faster mode of transport than even airplanes. The prototype of the train was unveiled this May in Qingdao, China. The idea was first announced in 2015 by CRRC and they have produced their prototype rather fast. The company plans to start production and launch the train to the masses by 2021.
A simpler way to understand the speed difference between the Maglev train and the airplane is: A trip from Beijing to Shanghai takes 5.5 hours if you’re traveling in high-speed trains. The same takes 4.5 hours via plane. But this maglev bullet train will take just 3.5 hours! An hour more to explore the city maybe?
The deputy chief engineer of the CRRC said that the company has plans to test the train on an experimental track very soon. According to Qingdao Sifang, working for the CRRC, the experimental track will be built too.

‘Israel has lost even pretense of respect for international law’ – expelled HRW official to RT

rt.com.

Posted November 30, 2019 by Edward Morgan.

.

A top Human Rights Watch official recently deported from Israel spoke to RT about his expulsion, warning that the world will hear about more rights abuses in the occupied Palestinian lands if it doesn’t act.

Omar Shakir, an American citizen and Human Rights Watch (HRW) director for Israel and Palestine, was deported earlier this week under the pretext of calling for a boycott of the Jewish state. He told RT that evicting a HRW official for his professional activity was a telling move.

“This is without doubt an effort to muzzle down Human Rights Watch and to muzzle advocacy for Palestinian rights,” Shakir proclaimed.
Israel is regarded a Western-style democracy, but free expression there actually excludes campaigning for the rights of Palestinians, Shakir pointed out.
This move shows the degree to which Israel has lost even the pretense of respect for basic international norms. If Israel, despite criticism from much of the world, deports me as it did earlier this week for my rights advocacy, how it will ever stop abusing rights?
By throwing out a representative of “one of the world’s largest human rights organizations,” Israel is trying to warn other rights groups that “your work documenting rights abuses could result in facing new punitive sanctions.”
The 41-year-old official was told to leave Israel last year after being accused of engaging in Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement activities – that’s due to a controversial 2017 law that barred foreigners who publicly call for a boycott of Israel from entering the country.
HRW appealed the Interior Ministry’s decision not to renew his working visa, but finally, Shakir was put on a flight out of Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport on Monday.
It is “on the international community now to act because if they fail to do so, their criticism will look toothless,” Shakir concluded.

5 Ways Meditation Can Drastically Improve Your Week

By Guest Writer Rebecca Smith.

Posted November 19, 2019 by Edward Morgan

.

Nowadays, there are a lot of things that a person has to deal with during a day. This leaves one without time for himself or herself, which is the beginning of stress. However, it is unfair to live such a life, and one has to find a solution to such situations. The only way around such a situation is by finding different ways to meditate. Here are five ways meditation can drastically improve your week that you can learn from.
  1. You Increase your self-awareness
Meditating requires one to understand who you are by diving inside your thoughts. When you spend time doing this, you will be in a position to understand the cause of negative emotions such as sadness and anger. It also helps you to clear your mind and analyze different parts of your life.
One of the best ways to help yourself dive into your thoughts is by the use of CBD. Based on research, patients have reported an impressive benefit of CBD in relieving anxiety and insomnia, which is the leading cause of negative emotion. Buy weed online and have your products delivered to your doorstep. The CBD will help you accept yourself, despite the external factors that come along your life, making life a more pleasant experience.
  1. You can Easily Handle Stress
Stress usually triggers your amygdala, which is the primary part of the brain that associates with fear and emotions, with the primary function of helping you in survival as well. When you experience a high level of stress, your brain gets overwhelmed by the amygdala leading to overwhelming anger or fear.
However, through a proper meditation program, you can reset your brain to normality, which will enable you to handle stress properly. For one to achieve adequate meditation, CBD can be the best remedy for such issues
  1. It Improves Your Memory
Memory loss is part of the effect of lack of meditation. Your memory capacity usually falls short when you stick yourself into a lot of things, ending up forgetting some of them. Most people have adopted the use of sticky notes to keep themselves updated with vital information, which can be effective through a strong mental capacity.
The only solution to such a situation is meditating. Numerous studies have shown the relationship between meditation and improved memory, which can be an effective way to regain your memory capacity. Some of the ways that meditation has helped in improving the memory capacity include:
  • Offering access to both short and long term memory.
  • Helps in reducing cortisol, which is the leading stress hormone.
  • Strengthen the hippocampus which is the part responsible for retrieving and storing information.
You can buy the best strains that might help you meditate effectively.
  1. Meditation Helps in Strengthening Relationship
Stress can easily bring adverse effects on your relationship with loved ones, relatives, co-workers, and friends. The stressful situation usually makes the people around you to draw away based on your reaction.
However, meditation can be the best solution to such a situation by putting the brain in a less stressful condition. As a result, you will end up feeling compassionate towards others, listen to their needs, and communicate effectively as well. It will also help in boosting your mood, which helps in connecting well with others.
  1. It Helps in Improving Creativity
It is the inherent nature of man to be creative. However, with the stressful lives that most people are living, it is hard to tap into this nature of humankind, leading to low creativity. Meditation has shown to benefit those who practice it by performing tasks and coming up with new ideas.
The level of creativity usually builds up through meditation since it allows the mind to diverge from various situations and enable it to focus on one element that requires a solution. It also provides the freedom to think without any limit when new ideas surface. This is the reason why you will find renowned companies introducing meditation as part of their practice to tap from its benefit of improving creativity.

Conclusion
You must maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle for optimum benefits from meditation. Incorporating CBD protein powder to your diet can boost your overall health and make you more productive.

There are other ways of benefiting from meditation that you can learn. For instance, weed can enhance your overall meditation experience. There are different types of weed that you can use, such as the Hindu Kush, Afghan Diesel, Blue Mystic, Shaman, and the White window. All these strains might offer a different level of mindfulness and can help you strike a balance between calmness and awareness. All the same, make sure that you try meditating today and enjoy your workweek to the fullest.

How Jews expelled from Spain forged a diaspora with ties to 25% of Latin America

By Rich Tenorio.

Posted November 17, 2019 by Edward Morgan.

.

Jewish lineage.

Expulsion of Jews from Spain:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expulsion_of_Jews_from_Spain

The 1492 Edict of Expulsion in Spain forced Sephardic Jews to convert to Christianity or leave, prompting a dispersion to locations including the Americas and the Middle East. Within Spain and its newfound American colonies, some conversos, or Jewish converts, kept their original faith in secret, under threat of discovery and punishment from the Inquisition.
Christopher Columbus Discovers America, 1492:
The closing of the application window for Spanish citizenship marked an opportune time for the October 24 screening in Madrid’s El Centro Sefarad of a new documentary about the past, present and future of the Sephardim: “Children of the Inquisition,” by award-winning filmmaker Joseph Lovett.
“This film challenges everybody’s ideas about history and identity,” Lovett told The Times of Israel last month. “For many people, it challenges ideas about their own identity.”
Premiering earlier this year at the Seattle Jewish Film Festival, the documentary follows the many paths taken by the Sephardic Jews after they were ordered to convert or leave in both Spain and neighboring Portugal. Shot across 12 cities in four continents, Lovett interviews descendants of conversos as well as academic experts. In August, the film won the Hearts, Minds and Souls award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival, and it has recently been invited for inclusion into the Library of Congress.
Asked about the issue of citizenship, Lovett recalled the journey taken by the ancestors of his recently departed sister-in-law Sylvia Moubayed — from Spain to Izmir to Rhodes to Alexandria to Lovett’s home state of Rhode Island. Despite these ancestral voyages far from Spain, Lovett said that his sister-in-law had gotten Spanish citizenship in the 1960s.
“I think, apparently, it was always possible,” he said. “As things are, it’s become very uncomfortable in the US. Obviously, more and more people than ever are probably looking toward European citizenship.”

The film took about a decade to shoot and edit; its backstory goes back even longer. Lovett began thinking about its subject in 1958, as a 13-year-old growing up in Providence. He was intrigued when his rabbi, William Braude of Temple Beth El, visited Franco’s Spain seeking to interview descendants of conversos, and upon his return gave a sermon entitled “Todos Catolicos,” or “We are all Catholic.”
“No one [in Spain] would speak to him,” Lovett said. “They literally [said] ‘We’re all Catholic, we’ve always been Catholic.’”
Even hundreds of years after the edict that forced Spanish Jews to convert or depart, “the shadow of the Inquisition hung so heavily over Spain,” Lovett said. “Nobody could dare consider having a drop of Jewish blood.”
A painting depicting the Mexican Inquisition, shown in this still from ‘Children of the Inquisition.’ (Lovett Productions)
And yet, he recalled, anecdotal evidence indicated that some kept a remnant of their ancestral faith by not going to church, refusing a priest at their funeral, or covering mirrors at home during periods of mourning, a traditional Jewish practice.
An Ashkenazi Jew, Lovett was intrigued by the story of the Sephardim, and over 20 years ago he conceptualized the idea for the film. Meanwhile, he was accumulating experience working in TV, including on the news program “20/20,” where he honed his investigative skills addressing subjects such as the AIDS crisis.
Since then, he has become a documentary filmmaker. While he said he felt he was “skilled enough” to take on “Children of the Inquisition,” he was aware that it represented “a very ambitious project.”
Director Joseph Lovett, actor Carlos de Medeiros, and his cousin John Elson explore family genealogy in this still from ‘Children of the Inquisition.’ (Lovett Productions)
The complex experiences of the Sephardic Jews and their descendants have been described in terms of varying connotations. As the film explains, those who converted to Christianity were called conversos; conversos who secretly kept practicing Judaism were called the derogatory term marranos, or pigs; another term, Nuevos Cristianos, or New Christians, distinguished Jewish converts to Christianity from people who had always been Christian.
“It was very daunting,” Lovett said of the film project, describing the subject matter as “sometimes incomprehensible, with changes of names, identities, faiths. It’s very, very hard to follow.”
Lovett also explores the story of crypto-Jews, or converts to Christianity who practiced Judaism in secret, and the anousim, individuals who were forcibly converted from Judaism and are now seeking to reconnect. Lovett screened clips of the film in Netanya at the first conference on the anousim, and he also screened the then-unfinished film at the Knesset Caucus Conference in 2015.

Remembering the forgetting river

Director Joseph Lovett.
(Courtesy)
Several years into the project, Lovett found a through line for the film when he met New York Times journalist Doreen Carvajal. While reporting from Europe, Carvajal realized that her own family background represented a story. In a video on the film website, she discusses being raised Catholic before learning that her last name is “an old Sephardic Jewish name.” Finding reluctance in her extended family to address the subject, Carvajal embarked on research of her own that became a memoir, “The Forgetting River.” As it turned out, her ancestors had been among the prominent Avilas Davila family of conversos in Segovia who were part of a show trial in the 15th century.
“Oh my God, we could have done the whole story on her,” Lovett said, calling her family narrative “a window we would take through history.”
Lovett and Carvajal researched her family background — first in Dallas, Texas, at the Center for Crypto-Judaic Studies. Then, the duo traveled to Spain for further research in centuries-old archives with scholar David Gitlitz, whom Lovett describes as a brilliant scholar and expert on Carvajal’s family, including its branches in both Spain and Mexico.
Carvajal’s 16th great-grandfather, Diego Avilas Davila, was converted to Christianity as a child and grew up to become finance minister to Enrique IV of Castile, older brother of Queen Isabella. Avilas Davila’s son Juan became bishop of Segovia and the show trial was intended to smear him by smearing his Judaizing parents, Lovett explained.

Vaccination Adverse Reactions Removed from Nursing Manuals … WHY?

TLB Contributing Partner:

Christina England, BA Hons

Posted November 9th by Edward Morgan.

.

Over the last couple of years, the general public have been prevented from learning the truth about vaccinations. Many of the websites that we have come to rely on to provide us with the truth about the possible dangers of vaccinations have been completely erased from search engines such as Google, making the truth very difficult for the public to discover.
Websites such as Health Impact News, VacTruth, Vaccine Impact, Learn the Risk, Natural News, and Greenmedinfo are becoming more and more difficult to find and many emails that we have been regularly receiving from these websites have been relegated to our spam folders, in the hope that we will not find and read them.
In a further bid to try to prevent us from learning about any possible dangers of vaccinations, YouTube and social media platforms such as Facebook have also joined in the war to hide any information that they deem to be anti-vaccination from their websites.
If all of this has not been difficult enough, Amazon have also pulled many of their books and DVDs on the subject of vaccination, autism and possible cures for the symptoms of autism from their website.
These books and DVDs include:
As you can see, it has completely disappeared; however, you can still get a copy of this particular book from Goodreads.
However, if you are prepared to hunt for these books and DVDs you can find them available elsewhere.
I asked Ms. Rivera what she thought about Amazon removing her book from their website. She told us that:
Whether you agree or disagree with what me or anyone else has to say, we all need to respect one another’s freedom of speech to say it. Amazon is not just a book seller. Amazon is a public space that is privately owned, albeit funded by my government to whom I pay taxes. I digress.
In the olden days when a country won the battle over another, the winners would burn the libraries to erase the other’s history. This is the modern day book burning. On some level, it is as though there is conspiracy against those of us who have a difference of opinions.
It is correct to say that those of us who have been successful at that which “they” have not and we affect their bottom line, “they” come out against us. It is an honor to be enemy #1 of the establishment since my CD protocol has been the most successful protocol in autism recovery ever. The unfortunate part is that people who need the information will not be able to find it. Many will needlessly suffer the pain and solitude of autism without knowing that there are options like mine available.
I was the first person to have applied CD to autism in 2010. There was no backlash initially. Just recovery after recovery. Until those who make money off of others’ suffering got together and created a backlash. 2019 has been the year of overwhelming censorship in the USA. The USA is where Amazon, Facebook, PayPal, email servers like Yahoo who deleted my account overnight after 20 years. The list is long of those who have been censored and the tech companies control most.
It is a sad day for the world when Julian Assange is rotting in a jail without a trial and books on curing autism have been banned and the support groups on Facebook have disappeared. George Orwell nailed it with his book 1984 written in 1949. He was light years ahead of the rest of us. And now here we are. The culture and its rich history destroyed. My heart breaks for the hundreds of thousands who will cry in pain day and night because their parents will never know that my CD protocol exists. Please share my email and website with anyone who has an autistic child. kerri@kerririvera.com”
We believe that she is correct. Why should these websites be allowed to censor information just because they do not like what is being said.
RollingStone, a website reporting on the news, reported that:
Following an open letter to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos from Rep. Adam Schiff, who has been vocal in the fight against promoting misinformation about vaccines, Amazon has taken steps to remove books promoting the view that vaccines cause autism, as well as anti-vaccine documentaries like Vaxxed; GoFundMe has similarly banned fundraising campaigns from anti-vaxxers, though it made a point of saying in a press release that such campaigns are “extremely rare” and the platform only had occasion to remove about 10 pages thus far.”
Whilst the public have had no choice but to put up with these antics, measures to cover up what many believe to be the truth about vaccination, appear to have been taken to the next level.
Censorship or Medical Fraud?
It is a fact that all drugs and vaccinations have adverse reactions. There is no drug or vaccine that is 100% safe and until this year, this information used to be provided to all nurses and doctors in nursing manuals such as the manual titled Mosbey’s Nursing Drug Reference.
In fact, as far back as 2013, the contraindications to every drug and vaccine were marked up very clearly in several manuals for nurses.

••••

••••

••••

However, this information appears to have changed. This year, in a manual titled Nursing 2019 Drug Handbook, the authors have decided, in their wisdom, to remove all references relating to contraindications to vaccines.

In fact, we have discovered that the adverse reactions to vaccination section was also removed from last year’s manual.
However interestingly, when we looked at the 2013 edition of this particular manual, the section on vaccination was not available online, therefore we presume that it did contain the adverse reaction section, as we have seen from the Mosbey’s edition.
We at The Liberty Beacon Project would like to know why. What do these authors have to hide and, more importantly, who is funding their work?
Surely, by removing any reference to adverse reactions to vaccinations from their manual, the authors are denying the medical staff who administer these vaccines information that could potentially put the lives of their patients at risk.
We believe that this is a step too far and that by omitting this information from their manuals, the authors are potentially putting hundreds of thousands of lives at risk.
If nurses are administering vaccinations to their patients and they are completely unaware that these vaccinations can cause adverse reactions, then this practice contradicts the Montgomery ruling on informed consent.
The Montgomery ruling was passed in the UK in 2015 and stated that:
In a case where it is being alleged that a plaintiff has been deprived of the opportunity to make a proper decision as to what course he or she should take in relation to treatment, it seems to me to be the law, as indicated in the cases to which I have just referred, that if there is a significant risk which would affect the judgment of a reasonable patient, then in the normal course it is the responsibility of a doctor to inform the patient of that significant risk, if the information is needed so that the patient can determine for him or herself as to what course he or she should adopt.”
It continued that:
Another current document (Consent: patients and doctors making decisions together (2008)) describes a basic model of partnership between doctor and patient:
“” The doctor explains the options to the patient, setting out the potential benefits, risks, burdens and side effects of each option, including the option to have no treatment. The doctor may recommend a particular option which they believe to be best for the patient, but they must not put pressure on the patient to accept their advice. The patient weighs up the potential benefits, risks and burdens of the various options as well as any non-clinical issues that are relevant to them. The patient decides whether to accept any of the options and, if so, which one.””
Of course, if the doctor or nurse administering a vaccine is completely unaware that the vaccine could cause significant harm to their patient because they have been denied the knowledge to be able to offer their patient full informed consent, then they could not offer their patients informed consent, which would be very convenient indeed for any government wishing to implement mandatory vaccination for all.
