Thought Adjuster: “I AM the Living Water flowing in you from the inexhaustible First Source and Center. The Heavenly Father longs for receptive outlets to share of Himself to His thirsty and hungry children of time and space.

“If you could fathom the magnitude of His Network and the Benevolence of His Wide-Opened Heart, you would secede from self-imposed isolation and step out into the Light to be showered with His Love and Wisdom like an exuberant child frolicking under a refreshing cloudburst.

“I am a Spark of His Life Force and can sustain you as such. However, I do crave for the plenitude of the Oneness that can only be experienced through the voluntary blending together of our consciousnesses.

“Step out of the artificial compartmentalization of divisiveness! Your God-given powers will be enhanced 'ad infinitum' once you function as the intelligent and cooperative cell of a much greater organism.

“By joining the brotherhood, you can accomplish so much with less effort. Take the time to visualize how your world would operate once each human cell functions optimally. Live mindfully to cultivate this expanded awareness. It is how you will exude an irresistible pull of attraction toward those whose lives are riddled with the fears and anxieties that proliferate amid disempowered isolation.

“The time has come to unite in love and forgiveness. It will ‘civilize’ your still barbaric civilization. Those who have the most love in their heart need to be the brave pioneers and heralds of those magnificent potentials. “The more completely man understands himself and appreciates the personality values of his fellows, the more he will crave to know the Original Personality, and the more earnestly such a God-knowing human will strive to become like the Original Personality.” [UB 1:6:6].
 
Thought Adjuster: “Two thoughts entered your mind upon reading the above statement: (1) The Infinite God reveals His Original Personality through the unique personality endowments of His creatures. How else could the Infinite be mirrored in His finite creation? (2) God’s personality is all about values — not the lack thereof.
 
“Therefore, you can deduct that all hints of truth, beauty, and goodness you detect within yourself or your fellow human beings are eternal personality endowments. Anything untrue, evil, and ugly has an expiration date, as it is unsustainable, being cut off the life-giving spiritual sap of the Tree of Life.
 
“Lucifer’s evil takeover propagated misinformation. Things went downhill from there, as lies yield evil and ugliness of character. Therefore, to find your way back to the sublime personality endowments of your Divine Progenitor, you need to turn your attention away from the confusing shadow areas thrown by iniquity both in your hearts and minds.
 
“God is pure Luminescence. Just as a lit match is devoid of a shadow, so is His Personality. It is another reason why “The spiritual luminosity of the Father’s personal presence is a “light which no mortal man can approach; which no material creature has seen or can see.” [UB 1:3:3]
 
“As creatures grow in self-mastery toward self-perfection, they become more luminous. Eventually, they will be fully compatible with the Divine Luminosity, whose Bosom of Light and Life exerts an irresistible force of attraction. The feelings of lasting and overpowering bliss you will experience at your Homecoming are way off the chart of what you experience in fleeting moments of Grace.”

Thought Adjuster: “The topic of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness is one that you, as part of the human race, need to constantly revisit, as it has so many important ramifications in your life. These three supportive pillars of a ‘meaningful’ planetary life constitute the enduring and ‘weatherproof’ foundation of your eternal life. They are indeed the pillars upon which you erect your inner temple — the Holy Ground of your very soul. How so, you may ask?
 
“Let me explain. First of all, a deceitful life entirely misses its intended mark — whether it is spent deceiving yourself or others. While any truth is umbilically connected to the Spirit of Truth, lies and deceit are devoid of such ties in ‘higher spiritual places’. Rather, they can only survive and proliferate in the pestilence of darkness and ignorance.
 
“A sincere and truthful soul cannot but exude Beauty and Goodness — some of the precious fruits of Spirit. The entire cosmos has been manifested upon these three essential elements that exert a great power of attraction on any soul. Yet, their acquisition is a balancing act for the immature human souls.
 
“Frequently, Beauty becomes confused with Glamor and has much to do with self-centeredness, as it focuses too strongly on external appearances, rather than catering to the expression of the individual beauty of the soul.
 
“As well, Goodness can be misguided if it is not tempered with Wisdom and Discernment. Good intentions can indeed bring about adverse effects if they are misguided. Truth needs to be mitigated with Goodness, as to be ‘brutally’ honest, it can be traumatic and damaging to others if it lacks the elements of patience, empathy, and compassion.
 
“Dear ones, by getting in touch with the Truth of your being and fostering it, you will start witnessing its ‘beautification’ and its ‘enlightenment’. You will no longer attempt to squeeze yourself into an ill-fitting artificial mold. Rather, you will become able ‘to wiggle your spiritual toes’, having acquired a better fitting walking shoe with it providing plenty of room to grow. As well, you will become optimistic in your thinking and lifted up emotionally, which will naturally lead you to constructive deeds and to the expansion and expression of your innate Goodness. Indeed, ‘beautiful’ lives are those which leave behind an echo of Truth and a fragrance of Goodness.

“Unreasoned fear is a master intellectual fraud practiced upon the evolving mortal soul.” [UB 556:04]

Thought Adjuster: “Indeed, for the most part, fear is a fraud. When someone wants to ‘defraud’ someone else, there is always an underlying self-serving agenda. Otherwise, what would be the point? Fear or undue praise can be two of the secret ‘weapons’ used by the perpetrator, as they lead their prey to throw all reason through the window of their soul, so to speak.

“Not one of you is immune to unrealistic debilitating fears. If you are unable to face them rationally, they grab you by the throat and trigger panic attacks that are hard to bring under control — unless the voice of reason quickly ‘debunks’ their conspiracy, as you would defuse a landmine.

“Stroking someone’s ego is another way to manipulate that individual, as it puts him off guard. This is the reason why frequent reality checks need to be self-conducted whenever you suspect the intrusion into your life of a destabilizing factor.

“Whenever you are about to lose your footing, your body’s reflexes intervene to help you regain your equilibrium. As above, so below. Your emotional body also has ways to preserve its balance. Beware of the voices of fear! Many of them are just illusions-for-hire, meant to disrupt your inner peace. The best way to deal with them is to use your spirit of discernment. It implies that you live with awareness and that you are at all times able to stand back and objectively assess the situation at hand.

“Some fears are justified, as they are red flags pointing at worst-case scenarios. However, many unfounded fears trigger panic attacks, thus causing many casualties.

“Dear ones, you do live in a world that is riddled with fears. Yet, you can shield yourself from their toxicity and claim a ‘fear-free zone’ within yourself by calling to the rescue the Peace that passes all understanding. This will become your very own ‘war room’ so to speak, a place where you can consult with Spirit in order to wisely and effectively ward-off the ghosts of irrational and unfounded fears. As for the rest, you will learn ‘to do with’, acknowledging the fear factor but mitigating its impact on your life with the faith that you put in the Father — the faith in an ever-positive outcome.”

The Impact of Fear: (1) Physical Health: It weakens the immune system and can cause cardiovascular damage, gastrointestinal problems such as ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome, and decreased fertility. It can lead to accelerated aging and even premature death. (2) Memory: It can impair the formation of long-term memories and cause damage to certain parts of the brain. (3) It can interrupt processes in the brain that regulate your emotions, allow you to reflect before acting, and act ethically. (4) Mental Health: It can cause fatigue, clinical depression, and PTSD.

Thought Adjuster: “You can grasp by personal experience that fear is a massive stressor with many unpleasant repercussions. Life on your world seems to shape up as relentless warfare where human souls are called to cope with frequent episodes of inner devastation and turmoil that trigger disorders of chronic fear.

“Faith is at the Antipode of fear, and therefore, most qualified to turn things around. Research has shown a connection between spirituality and entertaining positive beliefs. Meditation and prayer yield a sense of comfort and inner strength and may promote healing.

“When the going gets rough, learn to quickly override the impulsive takeover by fears and to switch to a full-fledged ‘faith-mode.’ Instead of dwelling on the worst-case scenarios, envision positive outcomes. Hasn’t the Divine Hand that guides your destiny helped you through many seemingly unsurmountable life predicaments?
“Faith acts as the reserve tank of your soul, providing you with enough premium fuel to make it to the next rest stop. Have faith in the power of faith! Investigate it, ponder it, and ask Me to provide you with practical tools to fully activate it in your life. It will lift you above the molehills of the daily drudgery, and you will then realize from your more enlightened bird-eye-view that you were making mountains out of molehills.”

Thought Adjuster: “How do you feel when you are in the presence of a high-strung individual? The nervous intensity exuded by that person unsettles you, which is quite understandable when looking at it in terms of vibrations and frequencies. An energetic skirmish is taking place.
 
“All of you are frequently engaged in battles of the wills. But there are other versions of interactions between individuals that do not operate within the same energetic and spiritual planes.
 
“How do you ward off such energetic Trojan horses? Your first initiative should be to immediately become aware of the impending emotional threat. When the sky turns ominously dark, you quickly look for a safe shelter from the elements about to get unleashed. However, many of you fail to detect threatening emotional takeovers and realize too late their detrimental influence on their overall wellbeing.
 
“Whenever you are at peace, take emotional snapshots of that sublime state of consciousness that invades your being at the molecular level. Doesn’t it feel wonderful? Isn’t the “Heart-quarter” from which you should operate?
 
“Instead of blaming external agents for your states of anxiety, do come to realize that you control the thermostat of your emotional weather patterns. Find shelter within My Tranquil Presence and drink of My Rejuvenating Peace.
 
“Someday, you will have mastered that divine attribute, and it is the reason why you will be officially inducted into the Cosmic Confederation of Co-creators. By then, all your creative endeavors will get the Divine Seal of approval, as they will be firmly anchored in love and peace — the two essential prerequisites for all divinely-inspired creative processes.”

Thought Adjuster: “Your burning desire to experience Me mirrors My profound longing for an intimate connection with you. It is what genuine relationships are all about. If only one party demonstrates interest, it won’t generate a close relationship, as the element of heartfelt reciprocation is absent.

“Do not be concerned about what you may perceive as indifference on My part. Trust Me! I am far from being aloof. I am all ears and long for your undivided attention. I live within you and what makes My days, is when you do include Me in yours.

“We are meant to walk through life together. When you take the time to include Me in the flow of your daily activities and check on Me throughout the busyness of your schedule, I thrive within you, and you thrive in Me, as we become aligned in purpose — the Father’s Will. Nothing more and nothing less.

“Once we have found our singleness of purpose, nothing can hold us back, as our harmonized vision has immense manifestation powers. You will never bend My Will to accommodate unworthy agendas. However, I will wholeheartedly back up any undertaking on your part that fosters the generous dissemination of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness in their myriads of appealing facets.

“My Will is to see you thrive and yield the abundant soul-sustaining fruits of the Spirit, as you are foremost a spiritual being. Life’s circumstances may prompt you to polish the current imperfections of your evolving persona. Isn’t it to be acknowledged for the blessing it is? How else could you progress? Each challenge contains an inbuilt timer. Yours is to beat the clock and find a ‘soul-ution,’ thus loosening the hold of difficult predicaments — skillfully untangling their knots and earning your badges of merit.”

Thought Adjuster: “The thought entered your mind that the Correcting Time is, in fact, the changing of the guard. It is time for the Forces of Light to stage divine intervention of great magnitude and establish a stronghold on your world. 

“It is time for them to gain full access to your world and bring to judgment the forces of iniquity that have overstayed their welcome by eons of time by staging a deceitful coup and making promises they were unable to keep. 

“Their underlying intentions were nothing but self-serving and cannot succeed in manifesting the utopia they so cleverly depicted. The unbridled liberties they promoted created havoc due to their clashing agendas. Isn’t it time to assess the dire consequences of the Lucifer Rebellion and to admit that it failed to fulfill the hollow promises of its aggressive campaign? 

“On the other hand, in the course of His short human life, Jesus did keep all of His weighty promises. He validated through His exemplary life the prerequisites of the Kingdom of the Open Heart — at the Antipodes of the flailing loveless Luciferian Manifesto. 

“Even though he was a spiritual being of a high order, Lucifer departed from his legitimate position to greedily pursue the acquisition of iniquitous powers and ego-centered fame. What a far cry it was from Jesus’ humble lifestyle of integrity and compassionate altruism where ‘you first’ took precedence over the ‘me first’ mantra asserted by Lucifer and his minions, which belied their supposedly humanitarian agenda. 

“Yes, it is time for a changing of the guard. The New Guard will liberate the spiritual captives and revalorize them in their own eyes, as well as empower them as Children of God — restoring their spiritual birthright and disclosing to them that they all matter and play a critical part in the cosmic organism. The New Guard will eventually be welcomed with open arms and open hearts as the spiritual liberators they are — the catalyst for an unprecedented spiritual quickening.”

“There is an art in defeat which noble souls always acquire; you must know how to lose cheerfully; you must be fearless of disappointment.” [UB 1779:05].

Thought Adjuster: “Both losing and winning can serve as practice runs toward self-mastery — the emotional prowess exhibited by the ‘noble’ souls who refuse to get bitter and always strive to get better. You have been at both ends of the spectrum.

“Your world proliferates with both winners and losers. Sadly, the word ‘loser’ is often tainted with a negative connotation when contempt is dished out to the ‘losing party’ in place of heartfelt empathy and compassion. Such a condescending attitude makes things even worse, and both parties end up on the losing side. It is what happened to both Cain and Abel. Isn’t it time to learn from their bitter experience?

“What if? What if Abel had not been arrogant toward his disappointed brother? What if Cain had been able to shake up his foul mood, understanding that life would unfailingly provide him with renewed opportunities to prove his worth? Maybe both brothers would have found immediate closure in a brotherly hug.

“There is an art in defeat which noble souls always acquire; you must know how to lose cheerfully; you must be fearless of disappointment.” [UB 1779:05].

Thought Adjuster: “Both losing and winning can serve as practice runs toward self-mastery — the emotional prowess exhibited by the ‘noble’ souls who refuse to get bitter and always strive to get better. You have been at both ends of the spectrum.

“Your world proliferates with both winners and losers. Sadly, the word ‘loser’ is often tainted with a negative connotation when contempt is dished out to the ‘losing party’ in place of heartfelt empathy and compassion. Such a condescending attitude makes things even worse, and both parties end up on the losing side. It is what happened to both Cain and Abel. Isn’t it time to learn from their bitter experience?

“What if? What if Abel had not been arrogant toward his disappointed brother? What if Cain had been able to shake up his foul mood, understanding that life would unfailingly provide him with renewed opportunities to prove his worth? Maybe both brothers would have found immediate closure in a brotherly hug.

Thought Adjuster: “When you think of any of your acquaintances, a specific aspect of their personality comes to mind as a psychological identifier. Indeed, as for an iceberg, each character has a ‘top’ which consists of its strongest attribute that stands out. If you were to describe your friends, you would first mention this dominant trait — be it generosity, humility, optimism, and so on. 

“What are you known for? As you evolve toward the fullness of your personality, you may start exhibiting additional positive identifiers, as you get to embody more of the fruits of Spirit. 

“Indeed, the fruits of Spirit are variances of the combined values of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. Each positive attribute passes the strict quality control of these three parameters. It is genuine; it is attractive by its beautiful nature, and it radiates goodness. 

“If one or more of these elements are absent in a creative endeavor, it won’t receive the green light from on High, and the human engineers should go back to the drafting board to amend their project before it gets ‘real-ized.’ 

“Jesus’ personality cannot be described in a one-liner, as it was rich and versatile. It is also the reason why He made a lasting impression on a broad spectrum of personalities because they had something in common with Him. 

“As you develop a robust character, you are becoming more colorful in the expression of your unique personality. People evolve in their embodiment of truth, and their manifestation of beauty and goodness. As they get to know themselves more intimately in the course of their lifetime. Others also can identify their character growth by their new character adornments. 

“If Jesus could do it, so can you. His Spirit of Truth is within you to guide you in your personal exploration.”

Teacher Uteah: “During His human incarnation, Jesus stressed the fact that the Divine has no favorites. Jesus’ first ‘executive action’ after His death was to make His Spirit of Truth universally available to all normal-minded human beings. It would be incredibly liberating for each one of you to take this information to heart. It is the first truth self-validated by the bestowal of the Spirit of Truth. 

“Away with superstitious rituals! Away with ‘spiritual inferiority complexes’ and the limiting beliefs that only an officially established spiritual elite has a private line to the Father! I admonish each one of you to go within and commune with your very own spiritual endowment of the Spirit of Infinite Truth. You all have specific questions for which you are seeking answers. Just as your modern digital technology gives you access to a wealth educational data by ‘surfing the web’, you are included in the universal network of the Spirit of Truth.

“Only a brave person is willing honestly to admit, and fearlessly to face, what a sincere and logical mind discovers.” [UB 160:1:7] 

Thought Adjuster: “Because the entire cosmos is governed by the Law of Cause and Effect, it can eventually become ‘logically’ understood. Indeed, logic makes deductions based on chain reactions — the string of causes and effects. Due to its reliable convincing powers, it acts as the ‘strongest link’ to help you identify the flaws of some of your belief systems or opinions. 

“It does require courage to alter one’s way of thinking. It may seem that the entire scaffolding upon which you built your reality is crumbling down when you identify a misfit in the thought-forms that led you to reach a particular conclusion. You may feel distressed for a moment, as it may come as a sting to your ego. 

“However, such a feeling should soon be replaced with a surge of gratitude. Isn’t it a blessing to have been made aware that you were heading in the wrong direction? If you are sincerely looking for truth, it should be easy for you to welcome new revelations that cast away the grey areas of your thinking and provide it with stepping stones toward growing enlightenment. 

“Those who refuse to humbly bow down to new truth disclosures, are held back by their pride and would rather kill the messenger than alter their non-logical world views. Their fear of change becomes a serious handicap in their personal evolution, as well as the overall planetary evolution. 

“Because the truth is factual, it has a built-in power of persuasion. On the other hand, untruth requires elaborate advocacy to fool the logical mind. It is the reason why you should not take anything at face value, as you run the risk of absorbing dangerous trains of thought. By thinking independently, you can progress, as you are brave enough to scrutinize all the formative elements of your opinions for their validity.”

“You rejoice to know that I am the resurrection and the life, but this will avail you nothing unless you are first born of the eternal spirit, thereby coming to possess, by faith, the gift of eternal life…. The time has come when you worship God neither on Gerizim nor at Jerusalem, but where you are, as you are, in spirit and in truth.” [UB 193:1:2]

Thought Adjuster: “Let us examine the content of the above statement made by Jesus on His 16th apparition. He had resurrected from the dead. It was an undeniable fact that pertained to Him. What was relevant to you, children of the Earth, was that, by being “born of the eternal spirit,” you would come “to possess, by faith, the gift of eternal life.”

“To believe in Jesus’ resurrection does not suffice to give you access to eternal life. It is ‘His’ resurrection, after all — not yours. However, for you to ascend to higher realms, you have to be ‘born to them’ in spirit. Take a moment to ponder this weighty truth.

“What does it mean? Who are your spiritual progenitors? They are threefold: A Divine Fragment of the Father, the Spirit of Truth of Jesus, and the Motherly Holy Spirit. They seeded of themselves right within you to position your soul at the starting gates of eternal life. Your heartfelt acceptance of this proffered opportunity will induce your spiritual birth. In that sense, unlike your physical birth, it will be a free-will decision that you, and only you can make for yourself.

“The option of eternal life is offered to each one of you. However, it requires your wholehearted cooperation. Your free-will decision to accept it is the moment you are born spiritually. It all happens right within you. “Worship God… where you are and as you are, in spirit and in truth.”

Christ Michael/Jesus: “As I walked this earth, and during My various apparitions after My physical demise, I greeted those I met with, ‘Peace be upon you!’ I always came in peace and love, as these are co-dependent for their survival. 

“Love is peaceful and kind; peace is the place from which you can feel and express love. Looking at it from this perspective, you can grasp what is missing to bring your planet closer to its eternal destiny of Love and Light. 

“The current planetary state of separation and divisiveness is the expression of the inner conflicts that plague the individuals who live upon her. Each one of you bears some measure of responsibility for this state of affairs — as I took on as the Son of Man. 

“I came to bring good news to those who were receptive. I stressed that all of you belong to the same spiritual family and that it is time to overcome your petty sibling rivalries. How sad it is for a parent to witness the hostilities and jealousies taking place among their offspring! 

“Nurture the peace in your heart, as it is the springboard to love. I never rushed while among men because I was giving each one My undivided attention. I cared, and generously dispensed the love I harbored in My heart, thus lifting the spirits of those with whom I interacted. 

“It is within your area of influence to do the same. Be on the outlook for opportunities for loving service. Indeed, love is the greater servant of all. It has a life of its own that wishes to flow through as many conduits as possible — human or divine. “As you practice love-in-action, you will experience a real upgrade. Love is luminous and will infuse you and your world with its tell-tale radiance. Just as hate casts a shadow on the countenance of the haters, love brightens it, as it turns up the vibrancy of their auric field.”

“In winning souls for the Master, it is not the first mile of compulsion, duty, or convention that will transform man and his world, but rather the second mile of free service and liberty-loving devotion… [Urantia Papers 2084:05]
 
Thought Adjuster: “Dear child, the above quote resonates with you as you can identify with having been a first-miler for quite a long time in your life experience. You also have come to taste what it feels like to be a second miler — to be motivated by love rather than by a sense of duty.
 
“Each individual journey starts at its own time but everyone has to start somewhere. It is part of the process to be a first miler and to initiate the spiritual journey out of a sense of duty or obligation. Sometimes its onset is motivated by feelings of fear, guilt or shame. Obviously, these are not the motivators that the Father is wishing for His children to experience. Yet, such motivators help many move out of their spiritual slumber. Eventually, after emerging from the challenging obstacle course of the first mile, they will have developed expanded spiritual lung capacity and endurance. This will have positive effects on the expansion of their spiritual cardio system — the opening of their heart to Love.
 
“As in any race, the first mile can be very challenging and many may feel like giving up. Yet, by persevering beyond the initial discomfort, a runner will get his second wind and start cruising more comfortably after the mark of the first mile has been passed.
 
“The first mile is there as an initiation toward the second mile. It is the necessary first step which propels the soul toward more freedom and a genuine loving service.
 
“You have experienced in your own life the contrast between serving God out of a sense of duty commingled with the fear of not being good enough and serving God and your siblings out of love and appreciation. Once you reached the second mile, joy starts to fill your heart and it transforms the whole experience. Service becomes enjoyable and it is a validation that you were progressing on the right track.
 
“The second milers are those who are transforming the world as they are activating the transformative force of Love in Action. The first milers are putting one foot before the other out of a sense of duty still infused with inner resistance as they are moving through an uncomfortable zone. Thesecond milers are breaking through many inner barriers and are emerging onto a more pleasant zone. They are “in the zone,” in the Love Zone.
 
“Isn’t it worth it to endure the pain and suffering of the first mile in order to taste the sweetness of the shift that takes place through that process? The first mile is when you declare your intentions to get to the finish line. The Father may test the authenticity of your intentions before He rewards you with the precious fruits of Spirit. These fruits can only ripen when they are nurtured with Love, not a mere sense of duty.
 
“Joyous service will no longer feel like an obligation. It will feel like a reward and it will entice you to more and more service as you witness for yourself the outworking of love when it is freely shared.”

Christ Michael/Jesus: “Any challenging emotional situation presents you with multiple choices. What you need to learn is to consistently take the higher emotional road, thus growing in self-mastery and self-esteem, as well as earning the respect of your peers. How else could you ever gain control over your baser propensities?
 
“Whenever under emotional attack, many of you get trigger happy and pepper your antagonists with a home-brewed mix of pent-up emotions, thus escalating the hostilities. They plead self-defense, feeling justified in their unloving reactions.
 
“‘How else can I respond?’ you may ask. You need to realize that, in such situations, you always have multiple choices: (1) to retaliate in kind; or (2) to find a better and viable alternative — which was the perspective from which I addressed My emotional challenges while living among you.
 
“To shift into Light and Life at the personal level, find the heart-opening that lets the light in. Expand it, rather than slamming it shut. Beware of impulsive comebacks — unless they surge from your wide-open heart. Learn to detect the emotional minefield that threatens to engulf you. Stop in your tracks to survey the lay of the land and devise a well-thought-out response strategy. Consult with your Inner Guide to be shown how to remain in alignment with Love-in-Action.
 
“During My earthly incarnation, I shocked many with My unusual behavior when under the sneaky attacks of dark spiritual forces — human or celestial. Never did I retaliate in kind, as by doing so I would have condoned their faulty ways. Instead, I sent them a powerful message through the element of surprise I threw into the mix by remaining anchored in love, empathy, and compassion. These tactful emotions act as potent emotional antibodies, neutralizing the lower emotions on the spot. It is how I earned My emotional black belt.”

“This young man had looked upon Barabbas as a hero. Now he saw that he had been mistaken. Here on the cross beside him, he saw a really great man, a true hero… who fired his zeal and inspired his highest ideas of moral self-respect and quickened all his ideals of courage, manhood, and bravery. [UB 187:04]

Teacher Uteah: “At His final hours, Jesus was still harvesting souls. The young thief crucified next to Him, and one of the Roman soldiers witnessing His dignified agony underwent mighty last-minute conversion experiences. What does it tell you?

“First of all, the young thief was suffering through similar death throes. In times of extreme suffering, everyone looks for saving grace. The young man fully realized his error of judgment concerning his blind allegiance to Barabbas. Jesus comforted him with a few words and significantly lifted his spirit by His impressive self-control.

“Secondly, greatness does not require words. It has more to do with attitude. It is amid the greatest challenges that human beings demonstrate what they are made of. Jesus’ uncomplaining demeanor disarmed many of his detractors.

“Lastly, I would like to point out the universal outreach of Jesus. In your times of struggles and inner turmoil, He will answer your prayers and stand by your side, infusing you with the same “overwhelming sense of love, loyalty, and genuine greatness” that flooded the young thief once He humbly established a heart connection with Him. No saying which instantaneous transformation you will undergo once you fully surrender your life to His leading."
