Mentalism is everywhere in our lives. Fictional characters such as Sherlock Holmesuse mentalism tricks to solve clues. Not to mention the highly successful US TV show – The Mentalist is based around this phenomenon. In addition, UK performer Derren Brown has made a career from using mentalism and performing tricks in his shows. So, what exactly is this technique and how do people use it?
A Personal Experience of Mentalism Tricks
I went to a Derren Brown show a couple of years ago. Derren picked members of the audience to participate in the show by throwing a frisbee. I managed to catch it.
My job was to choose a number from 100 to 200. I randomly picked a number which I wrote down and placed in an envelope. This number was integral of a series of other answers given by audience members who had also been randomly selected throughout the show.
To this day, I have no idea how he managed to guess all our answers. The weird thing is that they all related to one another in some way. Moreover, if he had got just one answer wrong, they all would have been wrong.
So what exactly are mentalism tricks? A mentalist, such as Derren Brown, will use a variety of ways to read you.
Let’s examine each method in turn and discover the tricks of mentalism:
Studying Body Language
A mentalist’s greatest strength is his or her ability to understand body language. Gifted mentalists will use this to supposedly read people’s minds. In other words – telepathy.
Actually, if you break down the word telepathy, you get ‘tele’, which means distant, and ‘pathy’, which means perception or feeling. This is exactly what a mentalist does to read your mind. They get a feeling from a distance and using their knowledge of body language to interpret this feeling.
When reading someone’s body language, the first thing a mentalist will do is establish a person’s base level. So they may start with fairly innocuous questions to gauge a normal reaction. For example, a person might have a habit of playing with their hair. If you didn’t know this was normal behaviour, you might assume they were hiding something later on in the questioning process.
Remember that mentalists take years to perfect their observations on body language. However, the main areas they’ll focus on are the face and hands.
On the face, they will look at movement around the mouth when talking. Does the person push their lips out when speaking? This is a sign they are forcing their words out and might not believe what they are saying. Likewise, do they cover their mouth while speaking?
This is an indicator of lying.
What is their blink rate like? Look out for the ‘blink sandwich’. This is a fast succession of blinks before a lie, no blinks during the lie, then another burst of fast blinks. This happens because the person lying will often stare at their accuser to make their lie seem more truthful.
However, their eyes cannot keep up the pretence and need to blink. Hence the rapid blinks either side.
Subconscious communication
Are you the sort of person that always seems to receive great customer service? Or is it the opposite? Would you be surprised to learn that either way it might be your subconscious communications that are influencing others and predicting these outcomes?
Imagine two scenarios:
In the first, you are late for work and rush into a coffee shop. You are flustered and unkempt and when it is your turn to be served, you bark ‘coffee’ at the server without looking up.
In the second scene, you have a day off and are meeting friends. You stroll in, walk up to the counter, smile at the server and ask for coffee.
These two scenes are practically identical but for a slight tweak in attitude. But it is your subconscious communication that is speaking clearly here. What kind of service do you suppose you would receive for each scenario?
Remember, if it is so easy for novices like ourselves to understand, imagine how a mentalist could use it to read a person?
Simple Trickery
Most of us would like to believe that we wouldn’t be fooled by magic tricks, especially the really easy ones. But some of the best are the simple tricks. If you like programmes such as Perception with US actor Eric McCormack as Dr Daniel Pierce, you’ll be used to seeing mentalism tricks such as these.
For instance, in one episode, Dr Pierce ‘demonstrates’ his mind-reading abilities. He consistently guesses correctly from a deck of cards the right symbol his colleague is thinking of. His colleague is amazed until Dr Pierce reveals that he can see the cards his colleague is holding in the reflection of the colleague’s glasses.
Understanding Human Behaviour
I had gone to a psychic fair held locally and had managed to book the last sitting with a popular clairvoyant.
Just as she began my reading, a lady walked up and sadly said ‘Is it too late to book?’ The clairvoyant said ‘Yes, I’m sorry, this is my last sitting,’ gesturing to me. The lady was about to turn away and the clairvoyant stood up, grabbed her hand and said ‘It will be alright you know, you’ve suffered a terrible tragedy, but they are in a better place now.’
The lady broke down and said ‘Thank you’ and went on her way. I wondered afterwards, how did she know? But of course, this clairvoyant had been in the business for decades. I’m not taking anything away from her. She was an extremely kind lady to get up and offer the woman some solace.
Having said that, did she have clairvoyant skills or did she simply understand that this lady needed some kind of closure?
Cold Reading
This is a particularly pernicious way of using mentalism tricks to get people to open up about themselves. You could relate it back to the previous story in fact.
Cold reading is when the reader has no clue at all about their audience. So they throw out random or general facts that could apply to almost anyone. It’s a little like your horoscopes. They are fishing for a bite. Once someone has bitten they can trawl them in with vague questions until they hit on the jackpot.
Cold reading uses a number of techniques to help them. They will use information about certain groups of people in order to pigeon-hole people. For example, young girls are likely to have problems with self-esteem. They’ll employ certain tactics such as ‘Barnum statements’ like ‘You feel anxious meeting new people’ or ‘When you try hard you succeed in whatever you do.’
Fishing is an example of a specific statement like ‘I can see a car accident here is significant’. Then, if this is picked up the audience will be impressed. If it is not the mentalist will quickly move on.
Power of Suggestion
Finally, the last but probably most important of our tricks involving mentalism is the power of suggestion. This is because it can be used in so many ways to manipulate us, and not just by performers. One person, Jay Olsen, found that his hobby of magic and illusion helped his career in psychology.
“Lots of what they said about attention and memory were just what magicians had been saying in a different way.” Jay Olson at McGill University in Quebec, Canada
Olsen devised a simple experiment in which he flicked through a deck of cards, then asked an audience member to choose one. When the card was revealed, Olsen took out the exact card from his jacket pocket.
So what was the mentalism trick he used? Olsen says that whilst shuffling through the pack, he lingered for a couple of milliseconds longer on the chosen card. This was enough for participants to choose it.
This easy manipulation technique has far-reaching implications, as Olsen is keen to point out. It even works on restaurant menus. Olsen says that we are more likely to choose from the very top or bottom of the menu. This is because these areas immediately attract our eyes.
So, while we think we might fancy the steak, really it’s just because it’s there at the top.
Final Thoughts
Mentalism tricks show just how easy it is for people to read our minds. But don’t forget, if they can read ours, we can use these same techniques and read theirs!

The recent events orchestrated by the U.S. government in Iran have backfired in a major way and the repercussions have only just begun, multiple sources agree. The worst result has been to force the British and the rest of the Anglo-Saxon world away from their alliance with the U.S. under its current administration, MI6 sources say. “Whatever happened should never have happened, and the Western powers need to vacate the Muslim world and contain Israel,” the sources say.
Even the Israelis are waking up to the dangers of the Evangelical Christian nut jobs they created, Mossad sources agree.
Of course, the rest of the world already views the U.S. as a pariah state, so now U.S. President Donald Trump is totally isolated on the world stage.
Before we go further into the fallout, let us summarize exactly what happened. This time they orchestrated an escalating series of events in a vain effort to get their long-awaited Armageddon by:
Murdering an American contractor in Iraq and blaming it on the Iranians.
Convincing or blackmailing Trump into a disproportionate response.
Getting their Iranian agents and brainwashed dupes to riot at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
Forcing Trump to commit a war crime by murdering Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
Remotely hijacking a Ukrainian airliner and flying it with transponders off towards an Iranian military base to fool the Iranians into shooting it down. (For those readers who do not yet realize this, in the late 1990’s the U.S. had remote hijacking equipment installed in all civilian airliners, supposedly as an anti-hijacking measure. This ability has been repeatedly abused for political purposes by the Khazarian mafia).
Now they are trying, and failing, to orchestrate regime change in Iran. Instead, though, this botched operation has succeeded in waking up a critical mass within the Western intelligence/military community to the fact the U.S. government has been hijacked by a fanatical cult that is trying to start WW3.
That is why the UK Defense minister Ben Wallace publicly announced his country was breaking away from its military alliance with the U.S.
There has also been a huge pushback by saner minds in the U.S. military-industrial establishment against the end-times fanatics centered around presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner and his Chabad cult. For example, U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper publicly denied claims by Trump that Iran was planning to attack U.S. embassies.
Pentagon sources say, “Despite the rhetoric, Trump has no choice but to pull U.S. troops out of Syraq, and eventually the Middle East.”
The reason Trump has no choice is, among other things, financial. The U.S. has wasted over 7 trillion dollars on endless war in the region and is now running out of money. I just watched your January 9th interview with Robert David Steele. I wanted to comment on the Ukrainian airliner that was brought down over Tehran the other night.
When it happened so soon after the missile launches at U.S. bases in Iraq, people on Twitter, especially Americans, immediately jumped to the conclusion that the downing of the plane was a military operation to stop some Cabal leaders from escaping Iran. Many were asserting that the 63 Canadian passengers were in fact Iranian spies.
This upset me, as I was hearing reports from local news concerning the people who had died in the crash, including a grade 10 high school student here in the Greater Toronto Area. Nowadays people don’t trust the media and have seen “crisis actors” for other false flag events.
So I started digging on the people featured in this CTV article:
What I can tell you is that I confirmed quite a few of them. I looked up the family doctors who were working in British Columbia on college websites, the obstetrician in Edmonton, and the dentist in Halifax, and they all had established practices. I also confirmed two tenured professors at the University of Alberta, a secretary working for the Teachers Secondary School Federation (through a friend who said she’d been there at least 5 years), and as well was able to confirm a PhD student in Computer Sciences at the University of Toronto. There was such a variety of professions listed amongst the victims that I highly doubt they were all a bunch of Iranian spies/double agents.
Which leaves me with these difficult questions:
1. Did the Iranians accidentally shoot down a passenger plane because someone was jumpy? There were lots of commercial flights in the air over Tehran that night, both Iranian and International. They were taking the normal flight routes you would expect.
2. There have been credible reports from people with contacts in Iran that the President of Iran has been rounding up supporters of Soleimani since his death. Some had said that Soleimani was becoming a loose cannon, with all his terrorist factions that he was backing to advance his own agenda in the Middle Eastern region. So the theory is that the Iranian president worked out a secret deal with the U.S. military to take out Soleimani, and that the 15 missiles shot at U.S. bases in Iraq were simply a show in order for the Iranian government to save face with its people. Soleimani had many supporters, but there were also many people in Iran that feared and despised him. Therefore the President couldn’t make it look like he was involved in Soleimani’s death.
Next, in regards to the Ukrainian airliner…
Were there terrorist/cabal targets on the plane that the U.S. military and Iranian government wanted taken out as well? Did they decide it was okay to “sacrifice” a bunch of Canadian citizens on board as collateral damage, including children and babies?! I’d hate to think they could be that coldblooded just to achieve a military agenda.
3. This fellow on Twitter found some anomalies in the flight pattern information, including a tail number that had been changed. Some people feel the pictures of the crash scene seem staged. All I can tell you is that there are real people in the Iranian community in Toronto who seem quite distraught about the death of their loved ones. There are principals of local schools and colleges making announcements of the names of students that were killed.
I find it hard to believe that these 63 Canadians, including a wedding party from Edmonton, agreed to participate in faking their deaths and hiding out in Iran. One was a mother and 10-year-old daughter who were visiting their grandparents, and the husband remains behind in Canada.
The other possibility I was wondering about is that maybe there were cabal/terrorists escaping Iran, and they found a way to trick the Iranian military into shooting down the wrong plane, allowing them to escape in the process. It’s been said that in order to shoot the plane down, they would have had to track it right from departure and takeoff, and this commercial plane had been delayed from takeoff for 1 hour for some unspecified reason. Did the evil elite use it as a decoy by changing the tail number on the programmed flight log, etc.?
Anyway, it’s been very upsetting. It reminds me a lot of when Korean Airlines Flight 007 was shot down by the Russians in 1983. I was attending a Korean Zen Buddhist temple in Toronto, and I remember how devastated so many people were who had lost relatives, and they were doing many funeral services.
In a way, I’d prefer to think it was an accidental shoot-down of the plane, rather than a cold-hearted calculated military operation to take out a few Cabal leaders.

I have some questions for you.
Even my country, Finland—as my opinion, based on our family’s personal experience—seems to be a well-corrupted country, at least when it comes to politics, real news, the judicial system, natural health, and medical information. Is there going to be a some kind of purge/cleanup in all EU countries? In Finland too, and in all these areas? Any idea when?
Does WDS have something to say about the fact that the medical industry, organizations like CDC, FDA, and WHO, who say vaccinate everybody, and Bill Gates and lawmakers around the world are pushing their dirty and illness-bringing vaccines to all the people, especially to kids? Does WDS have any plans for that? I attached a file as a good example of how dirty vaccines really are.

It’s been a while since I’ve responded to one of your posts. Before I dig into the latest update, let me preface this with the fact I know you report on things as you hear them, not as they are or we wish they are in real life.
Soleimani was a butcher. He is responsible for the deaths of THOUSANDs of people and hundreds of U.S. soldiers. Unlike you, I have seen the attacks the guy has planned on U.S. service members and the raw intel from his activities throughout the Middle East. I also know his death is a severe blow to the regime. I’m not sure who on the Pentagon side is feeding you information, but I can tell you as a matter of fact that we should have taken this guy out in 2009 when we had solid intel where he was in Iraq. We would have saved the world a number of innocent deaths.
As far as China is concerned, they have meddled in almost every aspect of American culture, politics, and even entertainment. To say they have aims of turning the U.S. into a communist country is legitimate and focused. I don’t buy the narrative they are “here to help.” Google’s aid to China with technology is nothing short of treason, and all the execs at Alphabet should be tried and shot for their activities in China.
You never reference the “Tech Bro’s” and their continued efforts to censor and subjugate the American people via the technology and financial mechanisms, even though they have used the same tactics on you with regard to payments. I would think that topic would be first and foremost in figuring out what and who is pulling the strings.
Finally, I don’t see the world trying to “save” the United States, given the fact most of the world is corrupt to the core. Even Europe is corrupt to the core. The only way to truly liberate humanity is to burn down the entire system and put people in charge that understand and practice selfless service. I would imagine that the list of non-corruptible people on this planet is extremely small. Certainly none of them work for the United Nations, as it is the most morally and physically bankrupt organization on the planet, rife with corruption and power-drunk woke-tards.
What I see is a concerted effort by the Elite across the planet to divide the world into factions and continue more of the same—debt, slavery, pain, and suffering.

Thanks for that information, S. Many sources did tell me Soleimani was a Zionist agent playing his part to try to start their planned war between Christianity and Islam. The important thing is to not let them fool us into killing each other so that we become weak enough for final enslavement by the Zionists.
As far as the tech companies go, I do see them as a problem, since they have been censoring me from Day One. My view is that the tech companies should be either nationalized or regulated like public utilities.
The other thing I want to make perfectly clear is that I do not support a Chinese takeover of the United States. My view is that the other Anglo-Saxon democracies—Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand—are in the best position to help restore true Democracy to the United States.

Dear ones you intellectually understand, but must actually accept that you are so much more than you have been led to believe.
Throughout lifetimes humans have been manipulated and taught that they are little more than animals deserving of and needing harsh treatment and incapable of making proper decisions and must look to those more qualified to tell them what is right or wrong or how to live.
Because of this, many unconsciously still carry old energy from those lifetimes in cellular memory. As long as these energies remain active they can and often do manifest seemingly out of nowhere as experiences of either overt aggression or its opposite, powerlessness.
As old and dense energies clear both personally and globally, some are re-experiencing deeply buried energies of fear, aggression, or powerlessness and not understanding why. Because low resonating energy cannot align with the higher these must be cleared. This often takes place through dreams but through experience and emotions as well.
Allow the clearing process to take place without resistance or the belief that these things are who you are. Negative emotions, thoughts, or feelings are never who you are. Allow them to move through and out without attaching power to them.
When mankind was much less evolved, rules and guidelines were important and often necessary for staying alive. However, mankind has evolved beyond those times and many of these guidelines have become obsolete and no longer necessary. More and more, the concept of a “ruling class” has devolved into being simply a means for power over others.
Beliefs in duality and separation have and will continue to perfectly manifest pairs of opposites as long as they continue to dominate collective consciousness simply because consciousness is the substance of form. Mind, being an avenue of awareness, interprets what it sees according to the state of consciousness of the individual or collective.
Demonstrations and actions hold an important place in helping to change world awareness, but unless guided from within to bring your light to some situation through participation, most of you will not be called to demonstrate and protest. Those awakened and evolved usually serve on levels more in alignment with their state of consciousness, bringing Light to the outer scene through silent alignment with “God alone is “.
Pre-birth every individual chooses the experiences he needs, and is spiritually prepared for in order to learn and evolve during his time on earth. A person with a weak and powerless personality, who who has always allowed others to run his life may feel ready and thus choose experiences that will force him/her to empower themselves.
Example–After having never held a job, always looking to others, and believing self to be a victim, he/she may be forced into empowerment after finding themselves in “do or die” situations following the death, abandonment, or withdrawal of those who have always enabled them.
Loving occasionally means allowing another to fall flat on their face. When you continue enabling someone who has had many opportunities, you take away their job which is to learn and grow.
Those new to life on earth get a great deal of assistance when choosing life experiences and are guided to choose only what is not beyond their ability to complete. Those more experienced and evolved make the majority of their own decisions along with the others who will be involved. “Older” souls are well aware of where they have failed in the past and what they need to learn. However, all choices are lovingly guided and approved pre-birth based on each soul’s readiness rather than their enthusiasm.
You have entered a time in which many are opening to deeper levels of awareness through painful and intense life experiences. Most are as of yet unaware that they themselves chose these or similar experiences either simply for the experience itself, or to force themselves deeper within. “Wake up calls” are often necessary for those who are spiritually prepared, but who refuse to budge from their three dimensional comfort zone.
Most are unaware that when they realize some new facet of truth, they are in fact simply remembering it. Truth is, always has been, and can only be already fully present in the Consciousness of every person. It does not flow from some outside source for there is no outside source. All truth flows from where it has always been just awaiting recognition–within– even though often appears to come from a teacher, book, class, channel, or practice. Evolution is simply remembering. At no time have you ever not been the fullness of God expressing IT self.
You who read these messages are ready to release yourselves from all remaining self created prisons of illusion. The world is not an illusion as many have been taught and believe. Rather the three dimensional concepts of the world are the illusion. A tree may appear to be an inanimate stand of wood to three dimensional consciousness but those able to see higher dimensional energy see the Light of Life flowing in, through, and around every branch and root, connecting it to every other tree. “Tree huggers” are not hugging a piece of wood, but rather are connecting with the one same Divine life essence each holds.
Learn to look beyond all appearances, large and small, good or bad. God is not just in good appearances and not in the bad ones. Both are mind interpretations flowing in accordance with the state of consciousness and conditioning of the observer. Because there is only ONE consciousness, everyone in alignment with the conditioned collective sees the same thing. This is what is meant by “You must come out and be separate”.
When you react strongly to some negative appearance, you feed it energy allowing it to continue. Stop feeding world concepts based in duality and separation. Honestly examine your belief system in order to understand if or how you may be doing this. Rest in your Divinity rather than your humanness. You are ready. Understand and accept that everything reflective of duality or separation is nothing more than a mind formed illusory corruption of some underlying reality.
Everyone comes to earth for the experiences they have chosen based on what they have not yet experienced or need to learn. However, once on earth this is forgotten as the person sees and experiences physical and emotional struggles, as well as success. Both are tools for learning but become obsolete and no longer necessary once a person attains a consciousness of Oneness and the non-power or reality of appearances.
This is not to say that “problems”completely cease upon awakening for as long as one is living in the three dimensional world, the pairs of opposites will present themselves. However, those living from a higher level of awareness will find them occurring less frequently and usually for the purpose of drawing attention to some ingrained belief needing to be recognized and cleared. You will find yourself intuitively guided to the “right” person, business, or service capable of assisting with the problem if you allow and trust your oneness with harmony and wholeness.
Cease endowing “problems” with power. Ask yourselves, “What is this experience teaching me? What am I believing that is causing me to feel this way? Is this belief true in the light of the truth I know?” You will discover that a great deal of what the world has labeled good or bad, acceptable or not acceptable began as nothing more than popular opinion given credibility through acceptance allowing it to become a rule, law, or societal norm.
It is time to let go of everything false and rest in the the truth that all is and can only be whole and complete because nothing exists outside of the ONE. “Well, things don’t look so whole and complete.” you say. Three dimensional appearances will always appear to defy and take president over truth simply because at this time the majority remains capable only of comprehending the material–that which they can see, hear, taste, touch, or smell. This is why the journey of every aspiring master is difficult especially in the beginning.
Never deny appearances but rather simply acknowledge them for what they are and do what you may be guided to do to for self or the others involved. Do what needs doing, but do it with the detachment that comes of not giving appearances power for good or bad.
Occasionally a misguided truth student will consider it spiritual to simply spout “God is all. Everything is illusion.” and do nothing during difficult times. Pretending to have attained a consciousness of the absolute while it remains only intellectual knowledge is three dimensional thinking. Yes, know the truth, but then take whatever actions you are guided to take which more and more will become inner actions.
This type of thinking frequently occurs around health issues. A serious student does not address some issue in the belief that he must hold to absolute truth or spiritual fail by looking to some outside medical assistance. Assistance is offered on all levels and it is all spiritual. Know the absolute and bring it to conscious awareness, but then take whatever human footsteps you are guided to take without assigning power to the situation. You will soon discover that the sky does not fall down nor there is there any spiritual regression.
Some of you may be called to work in the outer scene, to take a stand, lead some group, and solve world problems but most of you at this time are doing spiritual work by living each moment in silent awareness of One Reality always expressing ITSelf. This work is not for the faint hearted because you are not yet the majority and it can be very tempting to simply “go with the flow” of majority thought.
As you live from your highest level of realization in each now moment of every seemingly ordinary day not hoping, seeking, looking for some future event, or miracle from on high, you will begin to witness personal and global change that is inevitable. Ordinary, familiar, and commonly accepted beliefs within governments, organized religions, health fields, education, finance, etc. will begin to change and evolve into higher and better form.
In the meantime let go of expecting and looking to this or that to appear and save the world. These types of beliefs were born from the old belief system enmeshed in separation. You are the change you hope to see and have been seeking for lifetimes. You are the Holy Grail, God and Savour but have not known it. You know it now, so allow these old concepts to fade into the nothingness that they are.
Live each now moment in conscious union with your Divine Self, while allowing the “heathen to rage” however it pleases. Consciously live the events, chores, joys, and disappointments of each day from center, from that silent, secret, and sacred place of Oneness.
This is Lightwork–you being YOU. No group of ascended masters, evolved extraterrestrials, angels, or gods somewhere in another dimension can do the work for you. It is why you chose to be on earth at this time.
Allow your consciousness of Oneness to express ITself as you.

Use the mental energy to help you get things in order.
This is a good time to actually compartmentalize the different aspects, the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual in its own box and then begin to tackle the most important projects first. In other words, if you have pain in your physical body, it is a bit harder to meditate.
Once each world is taken care of they all begin to work together in unison, creating a new way of ‘Being’.
You become more in tune with the subtle energies that greatly affect the world around you and you know how to use them to benefit your life.

The Gabriel Message Card for this week
The Teachers You Seek are Love and Wisdom. They are Within You.
There have been times when I received this card and wanted to shout, That's easy for you to say, I'm asking for help here!
Most days, I can take a breath and remember that this card is really expressing my highest Truth and I need to make the effort to take time to connect more deeply with my heart. After I feel more balanced, I can usually find that still place within that enables me to ask the right questions, which is often one of the reasons I don't have the answers I am seeking.
Over the years I have appreciated working with many different teachers on the physical level. I needed them to show me a new way of perceiving at important times in my life. All the great teachers I have known have made themselves obsolete by giving me the tools of consciousness that I needed to become more resourceful. However, much of the time I just wanted them to tell me what I needed to know and help me live my life. Giving away my power was common.
Just to be clear, I need inspiration on a daily basis. And sometimes I receive this spiritual food from teachers who are in a physical body. I find taking classes very nourishing and stimulating at times, and they can jump-start my spirit just when I most need it. I only seem to get into trouble when I lose my sovereignty by believing everything another person says, or thinking they have THE answers for my life.
Most of those teachers who have acted as guides and way-showers for me demonstrated what it looked like to live consciously and shared the tools and techniques that helped them reach that state. Some of these tools were helpful and some were not. It was important for me to learn to feel my inner resonance when the teachings applied to me.
When I met my guru in 1977, I was sure that I had met someone who would finally take over the responsibility for my life. It was true that life was very structured in the ashram and I did not have time to think about the world. But even my guru, a very enlightened being, told us not to be attached to his body because he was only there to give us practices and to raise our consciousness. He said that even though he was providing spiritual food, it was more important that he teach us how to connect directly to God. That way we would be able to take our spiritual practice into the world and help others. He was very clear that service was one of the most powerful things that we could do in life and would lead to our own Self-realization. I do my best to carry on this tradition.
When I started working with Archangel Gabriel in 1990, it was a new experience to receive my own guidance. It took a long time for me to learn to trust myself. Archangel Gabriel was very clear that my Higher Self was the most important connection I could create. He taught me that this more enlightened part of myself was aware of my Soul's purpose; that it acted as a gatekeeper to my consciousness, filtering information and guidance so that I was receiving from those sources that were in my highest good.
This new link to my Higher Self was the transformative tool I had been looking for. It took time, however, to create a connection I could trust. Asking for what I needed was part of the key to receiving, as it turned out, and learning to listen.
We all need outside teachers along the way, and I know that my inner guidance has brought me into contact with just the right people at the right time. And there are other ways that we are awakened. After I ask for assistance, I often have blessed moments when something bubbles up inside me and I feel inspired to inner Wisdom, especially when I am in Nature. There are times when a book will fall open to the answer I was looking for. Sometimes a conversation with a friend will point me in the right direction, or I will listen to a teleconference that really inspires me. Synchronicity is one of my best teachers right now, and it lets me know I am not alone and my guidance system is working very well.
We are blessed to have so many beautiful way-showers, teachers and healers on the Earth to point the way for us. We are also learning to be very discerning and aware of the inner guidance resonating in our own hearts to let us know what is appropriate for our Soul's experience at this time.
Within us is a voice that knows what is Truth for us, and the more we trust ourselves, the more powerful this inner voice becomes. It is like a muscle that becomes stronger the more we use it. With the empowered Light frequencies available on the Earth now, we have an even greater connection to our Soul and the guidance it is offering. There is Truth and Wisdom within us and we are becoming the teachers, leaders and way-showers demonstrating wisdom and love in our world.
Divine Presence,
Thank you for your ever-present guidance within my life, and for opening the channels to my Highest Self so I can receive wisdom more gracefully. I am so grateful that I am not alone, and your inspiration is there for me, when I take time to listen to my heart.
Thank you for the discernment to know what is appropriate for me at all times, and the resonance I feel within when the guidance is right for me to follow. May I be a clear channel for Love and Wisdom within my being, and radiate that to the world, now and always. And so it is.
You have within you all the love and wisdom you need to be whole and live in a holy way in the world. Each time you seek outside yourself for these qualities, you find a little more of your confidence and self-esteem slipping away. This is not to say that you should not seek advice from others. But when this advice is received, there must be a time of reflection before you act on it. When advice is appropriate for you to act on, there will be a sense of resonance within you, a little feeling of rightness, if not a wholehearted Yes!
Sensitivity to this resonance can be developed. Pray to know what is in your highest good beyond a shadow of a doubt, and be willing to act when this knowing is clear. This is taking responsibility for your life, and will pay off in large future dividends as you begin to know the truth within yourself, and act accordingly. Looking to others for your truth throws your whole body out of balance. Energy moves into the head as you strain to listen only with the mind and not the heart or your gut. The old sayings about gut-level knowing is extremely valuable. This way of knowing goes beyond common sense, to an uncommon sense of what is right for you. No one else can tell you what is right for you. Pray to know your own Truth.
This is a time of change on the planet. Many are finding that the old ways no longer work. Businesses are struggling; so are families, relationships, and governments. It seems the challenges are so large that the answers are unclear. We can know that if we were enlightened enough in any situation, we would see that there is always an inspired and creative solution. We can affirm and pray for this in the world, as well as within our own lives. All that goes on in our outer world is often a reflection of our inner world. So when we begin trusting our own answers within, these small steps will lead to leaping bounds in our lives. We have spoken of the resonance available within when others speak to you of what they believe is correct action for you to take. This same inner knowing is the mechanism to be used when you look to your own inner guidance. Take the time to stop and breathe, before acting. The breath holds the connection to Divine Guidance. Experience this feeling now, as your energy field expands along with your body when you breathe deeply. Feel your feet connecting to the earth and notice the Pillar of Golden Light bringing energy from above your head to below your feet. As you do this, you become a Bridge from Heaven to Earth. Now you are ready to listen to the loving Truth and Wisdom within you, and remember your message from Archangel Gabriel for today:

Netanyahu has only been so successful because he reflects and represents the many faces of Israel: victor and victim, global citizen and international outcast, pyromaniac and war-shy.
While writing his 1953 breakout novel Lucky Jim, Kingsley Amis consulted with his best friend and inspiration for the main character, Jim Dixon. “’How many Dixon faces do you think there ought to be?” Amis wrote. “I mean a lot, 10 or so, or just 3 or 4?’” The reply is not extant, but Keith Gessen, in his 2012 introduction, relates that “it must have been a lot,” and he lists some of Dixon’s looks: the “’shot in the back face,’ his ‘tragic-mask face,’ his ‘crazy peasant face.’”
I was reminded of this when considering how to summarize the legacy of Benjamin Netanyahu after more than 13 cumulative years in power. I have written many political analysis articles about him, a meta-analysis article analyzing his policy legacy on the conflict, economy, society, and I have unpacked his foreign policy. Other people have documented his life in a biography and a documentary film. But what is he? King Bibi, populist Bibi, global citizen or international outcast? Is he a pyromaniac or war-shy, corrupt or clean, victor or victim?
Like Israel itself, Bibi is all of these things. I can’t know his mind, but as a psychologist of the public domain, it dawned on me that most of Bibi’s faces have some parallel in Israeli state and society. Similarly, many of his policies began long before he returned to power and will continue long after he’s gone. Failure to recognize that won’t help the opposition. Netanyahu has been so successful because he reflects and represents many faces of Israel.
Take his “us against the world” face. In these moments, he holds his chin high at press conferences and faces down global storms of criticism. During the Mavi Marmara incident in 2010, Israel raided a boat trying to break the siege on Gaza, killing 10 Turkish citizens on high seas. In his response to a massive global outcry, Netanyahu spoke to the Israeli press in Hebrew, and railed against the “attack of international hypocrisy, ” thereby transforming the incident into an attack on Israel. Israelis relaxed into their far more comfortable role of “us against the world,” whereby the world uses every weapon, even “global hypocrisy,” to harm our embattled nation.

The same role reversal can be seen with every international criticism of Israeli policy from at least 1955, when Prime Minister David Ben Gurion famously dismissed presumed international condemnation should Israel capture the Gaza Strip. And it continues to today, when Israel’s Hebrew-language media, save for Haaretz, responds to the possibility of an International Criminal Court investigation against Israel with wall-to-wall headlines about hypocrisy and anti-Semitism. They didn’t need Netanyahu’s help.
Us and them is the effective way to consolidate support at home, against an external enemy. A close cousin is the victim face, which Netanyahu employs to conjure the internal enemy. The great power of the populist lies in his ability to fuse himself with the victimhood of the country’s marginalized populations. This helps explain the populist paradox in which a fabulously wealthy leader comes to stand for the downtrodden and poor.
As I’ve argued, Netanyahu’s most burnished victim narrative involves being persecuted by the state for representing the true (right-wing) interests of the people. With this victim-face, he appeals to some of Israel’s underprivileged populations, fusing real and perceived grievances, political and socio-economic marginalization, and with still greater irony given Netanyahu’s Ashkenazi elite demographic, he even represents Mizrahi cultural and class alienation. They cling to him to vanquish their enemies not only abroad, but at home. His triumph is their triumph.

There’s the shameless-mendacious face. Netanyahu has used this in various ways. It is an artful form of lying, often starting with a grain of truth, then bludgeoned with a blunt instrument to serve his political narrative. He wore this face when he asserted the Grand Mufti of having planted the idea of genocide in the mind of Hitler, by association blaming the Palestinian people for the Holocaust.
Israelis themselves tell stories that are far from reality, with only a kernel truth at the core. Israel calls itself a vibrant democracy, although throughout nearly its entire history it has held some portion of its subjects — Palestinian citizens or Palestinians in the occupied territories — under an undemocratic military regime. Though the occupation gets deeper with each decade, many Israelis tell themselves it does not exist at all. Blaming the Palestinians for genocide of the Jews is a similar logical leap that these Israelis are well-suited to believe.
There is also a particular extension of mendacious face. It’s the overwrought conviction of someone who has come to believe his own lies. Netanyahu can convince himself vociferously of falsehoods that are ever-more outlandish. In May, he feverishly asserted that Avigdor Liberman, a hardline nationalist competitor, was left-wing, after Liberman refused to join a right-wing coalition, triggering new elections. That was comical enough to cause a reporter to laugh spontaneously.

That face is on display with his most recent crazed fabrication, however, which is far more grave. On the evening of his indictment, Netanyahu finally dove headlong into the right-wing assault on Israel’s legal system. He had kept himself somewhat distant from the increasingly vicious delegitimization of the Israeli judiciary on his decade-long watch, but now seized the story with a vengeance. The police, the prosecutor, and by association the attorney general and the entire legal system itself, had come after him like a lynch mob, at the bidding of their true masters, the left and the media. His persecution, of course, was an implicit replication of the people’s persecution. They’re coming for me and they’ll come for you. They must be stopped.
I watched the press conference and believed Netanyahu — that is, I believed that he believes this fabrication entirely. Others believed his meaning: 36 percent of Israelis in an Israeli Democracy Institute survey agreed that the legal process was tainted and devised to depose him. Presumably this overlaps with 37 percent of Israelis who would like him to continue serving as prime minister despite the indictment (in a Panels poll from Nov. 26).
But Bibi tips off his own mendacity. When auto-psuedo-convictions are combined with political instability, he puts on his sweaty face.

But one of his most damaging faces is the most understated: the proto-authoritarian face. For the last ten years, what Netanyahu did most successfully was stabilize a notoriously fractious political system. Two of his governments lasted almost full four-year terms – a rarity in Israeli politics. He did this through a combination of consolidating power, distancing potential competitors, or else keeping them close and hoarding ministerial portfolios. At the time of his indictment, he held four additional ministerial roles: health, welfare, agriculture, diaspora affairs. At times he has held five at once in addition to being prime minister.
Israelis lauded his political acumen and enjoyed the relative calm. Stability and consolidation hardly make headlines, but they are the foundation of an authoritarian-populist. Dismiss with the bothersome procedures of a democracy. Scrap checks and balances on executive power while you’re at it. Trade your freedom for stability.
If Netanyahu is the least conspicuous in the proto-authoritarian role, perhaps his bombastic faces are a good thing. They expose the extreme but inevitable version of the authoritarian leader: obsessive image-mongering to maintain a cult of personality, the temptations of corruption to preserve power, the resort to paranoia, the descent into political self-destruction, even in excruciating slow motion.
I have clung to my belief that Israel has other faces: the true peace-seeking face, not the peace face full of makeup. The liberal-democratic face, which is bruised and nearly unrecognizable at present, but can still be seen winking in the corner sometimes.

Life-changing world events that occurred in 2019, including natural disasters (think the Alabama Tornado), shootings in schools, and terrorist attacks across the globe, have placed many people across the globe in ‘fight or flight’ mode. Indeed, according to a Gallup poll, in a country like the U.S., around 55% of people say they experience stress frequently throughout the day, and one of the top sources of stress is worry about the political situation/the state of the nation. At the same time, the millennial generation, which will soon be the largest population group in many parts of the world, is counteracting tension, segregation and hatred with love. As found by Harvard scientists Professors Casper ter Kuille and Angie Thurston, millennials may be turning away from organized religions, but they are keener than ever on feeling like part of something larger than themselves. Spirituality, for them, is the bridge that leads to planetary union, but it is just one of many means to reach a place of love and unity, despite the disparate and violent forces that threaten their health and happiness.
Self-Love Is Guilt-Free In The New Millennium
When Whitney Houston sang that “learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all,” she pointed to what were only the beginnings of the movement of self-compassion that is so important if we are to give our best selves to others and survive the sometimes-hostile world. A Duke University study, published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, found that your ability to survive tough events (think hostile world, and local and personal events) depends directly on how kindly you treat yourself. “Self-compassion helps to eliminate a lot of the anger, depression and pain we experience when things go badly,” said Mark R Leary, lead researcher.
What Does Self-Compassion Involve?
Self-compassion rests on three main pillars: understanding instead of criticizing yourself, common humanity (understanding that you are part of this great planet) and mindful acceptance (recognizing and accepting difficult feelings and ‘riding through them’, knowing they are not permanent and they do not define you. Self-compassion helps you react less strongly to hostility, to accept responsibility where it is due, and to buffer yourself against negative events. When you are self-compassionate, your happiness does not depend on specific outcomes or achievements.
Unexpected Connections
Once you feel happy within your own skin and you have mastered the art of self-acceptance, it is time to bring your most loving, supportive self to others. The Harvard scientists mentioned above report that millennials are finding rich, meaningful connections in very different places than their parents or grandparents used to. Professor ter Kuille has conducted extensive research into millennial spirituality, finding that “Two-thirds believe in God or a universal spirit, and one in five even pray every day.” What has changed isn’t necessarily belief. Rather, it is where people congregate. Today, millennials are consistently “creating new forms of community that fulfil the role that traditional churches used to.” His findings indicate that one vital way to counteract planetary division, negativity and violence, is to create communities based on support, union and love. There are many ways that you can do this; one way is by starting up a group centered around your hobby. Whether stress-busting nature walks, intense hot yoga sessions, or upbeat spin classes are your thing, take time to stop and talk to the people you see regularly in class. Find out who they are and why they are there; see what you have in common and support and encourage them to do their best. Little by little, your little spin class can turn into a friendship group in which each member supports, cares for, and looks forward to seeing, their little ‘family’.
Kindness And Those You Already Love
It is, of course, important to share love with those who have always been there for your – your work colleagues, family and old friends. In order to make your gestures truly count, try to speak to them in their chosen ‘love language’. According to best-selling author Gary Chapman, there are five languages in total: acts of service, words of affirmation or appreciation, quality time, touch, and gift-giving. If your loved ones enjoy giving gifts, this does not make them materialistic, since gifts can be small but symbolic. Whatever you do gift others, make sure it is meaningful. If you have an upcoming anniversary, for instance, show your spouse or partner you care by looking up the list of wedding gifts by year. These indicate that the first year is paper, the third is leather, the sixth is iron, and so forth. For an iron anniversary present, definitely forego a kitchen pan! Go for something symbolic like a wrought iron heart, a carved flower figure, or a decorative piece that represents the strength of your love.
Paying It Forward
Once you are strong within yourself and you have built a loving social circle, you are ready to counter-balance world hostility by making positive changes. The ‘pay it forward’ movement involves doing one kind act to someone you may not necessarily know. The key is that you should give it without return, only asking the recipient to ‘pay it forward’ and exert an act of kindness on somebody else. The ripple effect can be powerful; in fact, it can cause a tidal wave of positive thought and belief systems that inspire the kind of change the world so desperately needs.
The world can be a tough and unforgiving place, but while you are alive, why not make the world better and celebrate yourself and others? It all begins with loving yourself and being non-judgmental. Once you realize that the human condition is common to everyone, you can build and strengthen ties with others. Finally, paying it forward to someone you don’t know but are inexorably united with is the ultimate act of positive change.

I think it’s fair to say that we’ve all been wronged in some way. Whether it’s a nasty break-up, betrayal by a friend, or an old school bully, once we hold a grudge against them, it’s hard to let go. Letting go of grudges is good for our health, but it’s hard to do.
We say we’ve forgiven, but we don’t forget. Sometimes, a grudge can last a lifetime. It’s time to start letting go of the grudges we hold and start fresh with a healthier new outlook.
We hold grudges for a whole host of reasons. Psychologists have suggested that we use grudges to define ourselves and excuse our bad behavior. We write off our coldness, mistrust and sometimes plain rudeness, as the result of past hurt.
Some suggest that we are holding grudges as a subconscious way to get sympathy and extra kindnessthat we didn’t get initially. This is especially true with victims of school-aged bullies. At the time, there was little support for the hardship. As an adult, if we tell our stories, others will feel bad for us. We hold onto our grudges towards these bullies, so we can keep re-telling the story.
While those reasons might require more intensive thought, some other reasons can be more superficial. We might consider holding a grudge to be a form of revenge. Never letting go of the grudge means never letting the offender get away with their crimes.
The reality is, those who wronged you probably aren’t even aware of your reserved hostility, or even worse, they don’t care. Instead of holding onto this pain, perhaps it’s time to work on letting go of these grudges.
Why Letting Go of Grudges Is Crucial for Your Happiness
They Serve No Purpose
If psychologists are correct in their theories on holding grudges, then we can see that the reasons are never beneficial. Holding onto the anger or pain won’t help us to heal from the hurt. It won’t undo the damage done in the past.
Grudges won’t serve as a kind of revenge. Even if the offender is begging for forgiveness, there is no benefit to YOU by never letting go of the grudge.
They’re Bad for Your Health
A number of studies have shown that holding onto grudges can cause a serious decline in health. Having a grudge to carry with you means you’re repeatedly becoming angry every time the memory comes to your mind. We certainly all know by now that anger has a negative effect on our health. Constantly recurring anger is dangerous.
Anger, and in turn holding grudges, can lead to increases in heart rate and blood pressure. When we’re angered, our body’s stress response is triggered, leading to a whole host of unhealthy chemical reactions inside us. If you want to keep your body healthy and safe, you’d better start letting go of some grudges.
They Consume Us
Grudges are just pain that we carry with us everywhere. As well as the toll they take on our psychical body, they also have negative impacts on our mental health too. Negative thoughts take over from positive ones usually. They consume more of our time and fill our minds with a negative voice.
Overthinking the causes, possible solutions, and the revenge you crave will make it harder for your brain to function. Your usually clear thinking will be swallowed whole by the anger and frustration you let ruminate in your mind all day.
Not letting go of your grudges will lead to anger, mistrust, and resentment leaking out into your current life. Your personal relationships will suffer. Your career will suffer. Progression can only happen when you untie yourself from the past.
How to Start Letting Go of Grudges
Take Charge of Your Needs
Instead of letting the hurt swirl around your mind all day and night, try going after what you really need to solve this problem. Depending on the length of your grudge and the situation you’re in, talking it out might not be an option.
Instead, try talking to yourself. If you can’t get closure, then you have to close the door yourself. This might be easier said than done, but it is possible. Remind yourself of what you’re losing by being angry so often. Notice how little you’re gaining.
If you are in a position to talk to the person who hurt you, then do. Be confident in yourself and your needs. Sometimes, you need closure for your wellbeing.
Tell this person how hurt you were by what they did and explain that it’s still chipping away at you. If they respond in kind, open up a dialogue. If they don’t, know your pain and this person were never worth it. Let go of this grudge.
Embrace Your Mental Strength
You can’t change the past. You can’t make the person who hurt you feel guilty. You can, however, change your own thinking. It’s time to get in touch with your own thoughts and slow them down when you feel angry.
Remember that your brain was able to create this pain, so it’s able to let it go too. Letting go of grudges is entirely down to you. It’s not going to be easy but letting go can be a choice. You can choose not to hate, or feel anger, anymore.
When the frustrated thoughts occur to you, breathe them out. Remind yourself that this person has no power, only you do. No more letting this person win, especially if they’re already out of your life.
Distract yourself when these thoughts occur and forbid yourself from dwelling on them. No more obsessing, no more giving any of your precious time to this person who did you wrong.
See It from Their Side
It might be tough, even painful to do, but sometimes it can be helpful to put yourself in their shoes. Understand what happened in the beginning from a neutral point of view and wonder about how you would have reacted from their side.
Remember, we have all done wrong in our lives. We’ve all caused hurt in some way, it’s almost guaranteed. We are flawed, and that’s okay. Don’t place yourself on such a high pedestal that you can never forgive others’ mistakes.
It’s also important to understand that a person rarely has malicious intentions when they hurt us, they just acted thoughtlessly or inconsiderately towards our feelings. Rarely are our offenders genuinely evil. Their behavior may have been wrong but trying to connect with the reasons behind their actions might help you find solace.
Find the Root Cause
Most of the time, when we’re having trouble letting go of a grudge, there’s a deeper cause that we’re missing. This pain we carry tends to reflect a deep value that we hold that has been violated.
It can be beneficial to learn why this matter hurts you so much. Once you understand what fundamental moral of yours has been violated, you can start letting go of this grudge. Deep dive into why this moral is so important.
Most importantly, if you feel that something essential to you has been violated, then you know this person doesn’t belong in your life or mind. They don’t deserve your thoughts, because, in the end, their choices do not line up with your beliefs and values.
Letting go of grudges can be hard, but holding on is dangerous. Allow yourself to release the past. Be optimistic about your future, without bearing the weight of an ancient grudge. You’ll be surprised to see just how prosperous you can be when your mind is free from the torture that is on-going anger.

It has been a mantra of U.S. foreign policy for a decade or more that, without the United States, the Middle East would descend into chaos. Or even worse, Iran would resurrect the Persian Empire and swallow the region whole.
Yet when U.S. President Donald Trump opted not to go to war with Iran after a series of Iranian-attributed attacks on Saudi Arabia last year and declared his intentions to pull troops out of the region, it wasn’t chaos or conquest that ensued. Rather, nascent regional diplomacy—particularly among Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates—and de-escalation followed. To be sure, the cards were reshuffled again in January, when Trump ordered the assassination of Qassem Suleimani, one of Iran’s most important military figures. Courtesy of Trump, the region is once more moving toward conflict, and the early signs of diplomatic progress achieved during the preceding months have vanished.
It is thus time for Washington to answer a crucial question that it has long evaded: Has America’s military dominance in the Middle East prevented regional actors from peacefully resolving conflicts on their own? And in that way, has it been an impediment to stability rather than the guarantor of it?
Following the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, U.S. President Jimmy Carter proclaimed a new doctrine: “An attempt by any outside force to gain control of the Persian Gulf region,” he stated, “will be regarded as an assault on the vital interests of the United States of America, and such an assault will be repelled by any means necessary, including military force.” In the context of the Cold War, preventing the Soviets—the main outside force Carter was worried about—from gaining control over the energy-rich region had a strategic logic.
But over time, that logic shifted. In the 1980s, U.S. President Ronald Reagan expanded the doctrine to include threats to the flow of oil originating from inside the region, too. As the geopolitical context changed still further, subsequent presidents found even more ways to justify America’s growing military presence in the Middle East. What started as a policy to prevent others from establishing hegemony over the oil-rich waters of the Persian Gulf morphed into a policy of asserting American hegemony in the region in order to “save” it.
As long as U.S. allies lack the capability or competence to secure the region, the thinking went, Washington would have no choice but to shoulder this responsibility. U.S. President George W. Bush was explicit about that; without an increase in U.S. troop levels in Iraq, he claimed, there would be chaos in the region. He missed the irony, of course, that his invasion of Iraq was the single most destabilizing event in the Middle East of the past decades.
As the scholars Hal Brands, Steven Cook, and Kenneth Pollack wrote endorsing the Carter Doctrine and its continuation, “the United States established and upheld the basic rules of conduct in the region: the United States would meet efforts to interfere with the free flow of oil by force; uphold freedom of navigation; demand that regional powers give up their irredentist claims on other states or face grave consequences; and prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.”
This account is accurate enough (although the last rule on the list always exempted Israel), but the story glosses over how the policy also gave cover to U.S. allies for some fairly destabilizing behaviors of their own. That’s an omission Brands makes in a Bloomberg article, too, where he points to Saudi Arabia’s slaughter of the Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi to argue that a “post-American Middle East will not be stable and peaceful. It will be even nastier and more turbulent than it is today.” And in the words of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham in 2018, “If it weren’t for the United States, they’d be speaking Farsi in about a week in Saudi Arabia.”
All this without a nod to the fact that, if anything, the United States’ protection of the Saudi regime has enabled its promotion of terrorism and its destabilizing activities in the region, which have, in turn, prompted further Iranian response.
Assertions about the United States’ pivotal role in the Middle East, no matter how often repeated, have not been proved true. Iran, ravaged by sanctions, corruption, and economic mismanagement, is nowhere near establishing hegemony in the region. Saudi Arabia spends more than five times as much on its military than does Iran; the entire Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)—Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE—outspends Iran by a factor of eight. Meanwhile, whereas Iran has no nuclear weapons yet undergoes more inspections than any other country, Israel has a nuclear weapons program with no international transparency whatsoever. Iran may have been adept at taking advantage of U.S. overextension and missteps in the last few decades, but establishing hegemony is a different matter altogether.
Further, the region did not fall into deeper chaos as a result of Trump’s earlier refusal to get into a shooting war with Iran after attacks by Iranian proxies against Saudi oil installations in September 2019. Critics lamented the president’s decision as an abandonment of the Carter Doctrine, calling it a disaster for the GCC and warning that it may even prompt Saudi Arabia to seek nuclear weapons.
Instead, recognizing that the U.S. military was no longer at their disposal, Saudi Arabia and the UAE began exercising the diplomaticoptions that had always been available to them. For its part, Saudi Arabia stepped up direct talks with Houthi rebels in Yemen as a way to ease tensions with their backer, Iran. The level of violence on both sides declined as a result, and more than 100 prisoners of war were released. In November, the United Nations’ Yemen envoy, Martin Griffiths, reported an 80 percent reduction in Saudi-led airstrikes, and there were no Yemeni deaths in the previous two weeks.
Riyadh also opted to reduce tensions with Qatar, a former ally that had become a nemesis. The Saudi government seemingly ordered its notorious Twitter army to tone down the insults against Qatar and its emir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and some sporting events between the two countries resumed, according to the New York Times.
An even stronger change of heart occurred in Abu Dhabi. In July, the UAE started withdrawing troops from Yemen. The same month, it participated in direct talks with Tehran to discuss maritime security. It even released $700 million in funds to Iran in contradiction to the Trump administration’s maximum pressure strategy.
Some of these measures may have been more tactical than strategic. Saudi Arabia may have reduced tensions with Qatar and the Houthis in order to better situate itself for a confrontation with Tehran down the road or to offset international condemnation of its killing of Khashoggi, human rights abuses at home, and brutal tactics in Yemen. The UAE, too, may have felt that a tactical reduction of tensions was warranted.
Nevertheless, as the United States appeared poised to back out of the region, its erstwhile allies’ calculations tilted toward diplomacy. The Saudis and Emiratis simply had no choice but to cease some of their recklessness because they could no longer operate under the protection of the United States. If stability in the Middle East is the United States’ main goal, Washington should have celebrated rather than bemoaned these developments.
In the wake of the U.S. assassination of Suleimani—which some former U.S. officials have called an act of war—the calculations may change once more. According to Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi, Suleimani was in Iraq to bring him Tehran’s response to a message from Riyadh on how to defuse regional tensions, presumably as part of the House of Saud’s renewed interest in diplomacy. The Iraqis, according to him, were mediating between the two rivals, an initiative that has now been thrown into question.
Iran may very well conclude, rightly or wrongly, that Saudi Arabia and the UAE conspired with Washington to assassinate Suleimani and as a result not only end the recent diplomacy but also target Riyadh and Abu Dhabi as part of the revenge for Suleimani’s death. This is yet one more instance, it seems, in which U.S. activities in the region have brought more turmoil than stability.
To be sure, there is no guarantee that recent diplomatic efforts would have been successful. A more responsible Riyadh might not have begotten a more responsible Tehran. But it is noteworthy that diplomacy did not even begin in earnest until Washington clearly demonstrated its unwillingness to entangle itself in a war between Saudi Arabia and Iran. And by returning to the region in a show of military force, Trump may once again disincentivize the United States’ allies from taking diplomacy seriously. They may even interpret Suleimani’s killing as a license to resume their recklessness—activities like Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s purported kidnapping of the Lebanese prime minister and ordering of the dismemberment of Khashoggi; Saudi Arabia and the UAE’s imposition of a blockade on Qatar; and the two countries’ further destabilization of Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, and Yemen.
As in the past, in other words, it seems as if the Middle East’s descent into chaos is more likely with the United States than without it.

Teacher Uteah: There is one fundamental idea that must preclude all ideas and understandings about higher consciousness that is required to attain a progressive path of growth both spiritually and mentally. What I am speaking about is your ability to conceptualize and think deeply about meaningful ideas and potentials — in other words, to have “deep thoughts” and to develop a personal philosophy for living. It is possible for each of you to develop the skills of a philosopher and tap into great potentials that lay buried beneath the surface of your busy mind. It starts with an intention, then an action, then a discipline to continue deep thinking going forward. Deep thinking is a well that leads to all knowledge, wisdom, and spiritual guidance — it is the path to the seat of soul where the Father’s Presence dwells.
Of all the great minds that have contributed to the progress of your world — scientists, philosophers, theologians, and inventors — they all have one thing in common — they all have apportioned a moderate amount of their waking moments in each day to deep thoughts. What are deep thoughts? Deep thoughts are those thoughts that require inner dialog that pertain to ideas using imagination, reasoning, deduction, assumption, consideration, evidence, comparison, formulation, and projection — thoughts about your future; the development of your potentials; self-improvement; social improvement; looking at opposing sides of an issue and proposing an honest solution that serves the greatest good. Deep thoughts are creative thoughts! There are many definitions of deep thought and you might think about it as the opposite of a shallow thought.
“What should I have for lunch today?” “What entertainments shall I engage in today?” “What vices will help me feel better and pass the time?” “I’m not smart enough to make those decisions.” “I’m not attractive.” “I’m not good enough.” “What new gadget will capture my attention?” “The car needs washing and the grass needs cutting.” These are shallow thoughts that result in activities that do not require much cerebral investment — these are predictable and have no eternal value, yet they occupy the greatest proportion of conscious moments in each day for many people. Little soul growth happens when this kind of thinking dominates the human mind.
Deep thinking leads to dialog with the Indwelling Spirit; your guides; and connection with Universal Mind — unity thinking. Many of the greatest discoveries in science, inventions, and medical cures and treatments, have come from inner guidance when engaging in deep thinking. Whether or not you believe that those “ah-ha” moments originated in your own mind or were whispered by a celestial being is irrespective of the expression to create. The vital understanding is using your mind and taking the time to engage it in worthy activity and co-creativity.
You will always have a need to engage the shallow thoughts to get you through the mechanics of the day, but it benefits your eternal survival and humanity collectively that you engage your mind with deeper thinking. This is how a planet moves into an enlightened era — as more and more people use their minds and access this place where inner guidance speaks — Truth, Beauty, and Goodness becomes the expression of those weightier thoughts.

Greetings. We are the Arcturian Council. We are pleased to connect with all of you.
We are establishing a network of communication that is multi-dimensional and that involves beings of several star systems in the galaxy, including yours. You are in fact a part of that network, as you receive these transmissions. We believe that variety is a strength. We believe that the more seats there are at the table, the better. The more perspectives there are, the higher the likelihood of an inclusive set of ideas and processes, practices that will make existence better for everyone involved.
This is why we are including so many in our network. We are being channeled by many beings and collectives to establish this network where you can all communicate through us. We are like the oversoul of this network. We are receiving information through our contact with you, while you are awake and asleep. Take a breath and luxuriate in the sensation of the abundant air entering your lungs. Relax and release it. Take another breath, and as you do so, feel the fullness and richness of the oxygen mixing and mingling with your body. Welcome to the higher dimensional vortex, friends of the way. We see you as friends through our many perspectives (I am seeing compounded lenses viewing of flowers and faces). You may be curious as to why we came through. We are an aspect of the Antarians. Some of their DNA was contributed as were all the star systems into Gaia’s vast DNA resource pool. And so as you have recently felt the vibration of the Antarians, so too shall we pleasantly make ourselves known.
We are an aspect of the fairies, of the fairy elementals that appear in broad daylight in your world but camouflage themselves as dragonflies. Fairies fly high, fast and free. Such is the joy of being in a small body with gentle winds that blow, riding on the sweet scents of the roses, of the flowers. Chasing bumble bees as they levitate along. Flying is one of the greatest of joys. We love to fly. We come through today to share our joy with you at the ascension of humankind.
We are the Ascended Dragonfly Collective. We encompass many upon your world. To you our lifecycles seem short but in reality it is us bending time, it is our concept and perception of time and our experience of it that make our lives seem shorter than they are in actuality. This week’s guidance from the Ascended Masters, Galactics, Earth Elementals, Faery Elders, Angelic legions, and Archangels known as the Collective:
Greetings, dear ones! We are very pleased to have this time to speak with you today.
Today we again answer a question from a Light Bearer, who asks:
“Could you address the current threat of retaliation the US is facing, as a result of the foreign military leader being killed over the weekend?
Usually I don’t pay much mind to the news, but this time I am concerned.
Can you tell us what to expect, and how we can help, in addition to staying positive?
I have been wondering whether the US could still be in danger of being obliterated through germ or nuclear warfare. I thought that we had passed that test in 1987, through the Great Convergence.
Are we still vulnerable to another world war that could end the planet’s existence?
Would you give us a warning if the US or the world were in mortal danger?”
We would say, to address the first question, that often governments or individuals within them stage events in order to provide a distraction from other current events.
This is intended as “a show of strength” that is actually not such, or as a form of retaliation against this enemy or that (whether foreign or someone on their home turf).
Often these events happen quietly and out of the media’s reach, or are well out of the areas they are permitted to report on, and at other times are trumpeted through the media as a way of instilling fear or a false patriotism in the mass populace.
We do not speak either for or against any political party, for most major political parties in militarized countries have done this very thing for centuries, including the US and its allies.
And so though it may appear at times that a government has endangered its people, and those of other countries, we would say, endangerment is mainly experienced as one group’s or person’s view, passed on to another.
There have been numerous times in human history when obliteration of the planet could have occurred, and yet, still you stand.
To take this one moment, purely because of what you have viewed in the media, and to worry or stress regarding potential outcomes of a situation as it has been relayed to you, would be both a waste of time and invaluable life energy, and fairly irrelevant.
We say this because the potential for mass destruction has existed on your planet not only for 70-plus years, but for millennia.
Some of it climate change-oriented, some of it a matter of Earth changes, and some of it militaristic, whether from challenges terrestrial or nonterrestrial.
There are indeed timelines where this has been Earth’s reality, yet you are not currently on such a timeline.
Can we verify and ensure for you that all is well at every moment?
That is neither our role nor our objective.
We are here to assist you on your paths, not to create that path for you by giving you information that, once it became part of your thinking, would actually turn and remold your reality here on Earth.
Nor is that kind of deliberate directing of your path in the interest of your higher selves and spirit guides, who are aware of your human concerns, and who wish to work with you on them, while you live on this planet of fascinating potentials that, yes, can at times make you feel uneasy.
Yet is nevertheless a place of unending play for both imagination and invention.
“Uneasy” is one thing; “desperate” or “fearful, and expecting the worst” is quite another.
You did not come in for this.
You may be aware that the statement “You will not be allowed to destroy yourselves” is one that has been heard by many over the past century or more who have have experienced meeting extraterrestrial beings firsthand, including spending time aboard their craft.
To answer your biggest question, we would concur with that statement, and that includes the threats presented by drastic climate change, war, and shifts of land masses.

You have billions of ships in the skies above you, hidden from sight so as not to block out the sun or keep you constantly gazing upward, wondering which one will land first, and wondering about the appearance and interests of those within them.
We would think that that would be the main focus of fascination and interest amongst human beings at present, though we cannot advocate expectations of “saviors,” nor are these beings intending to be that.
Yet due to the mental programming you receive while young, your point of concentration is on the expectation of disaster, including war between groups who have labeled certain other groups as “enemies.”
You have been trained to expect little else, over millennia of Earth lives.
And certainly, some of you have viewed wide scale destruction in other lives, on this and other planets.
Yet we would say, You did not come in for this.
You came in, in this era, to help establish a New Earth.
One built on precepts of a far higher vibration and intent than a third dimensional Earth.
So that the notion of mass destruction would belong only to the history books—information stored in crystals and holograms.
The indigenous peoples of this world have long understood that a house divided cannot stand, that being a pre-ancient Wisdom, and not a 19th century one.
This is one reason, among many others, that the old powers-that-were have sought to undermine the very existence of indigenous nations and their seers and healers, who knew the co-creative power of thought, emotion, and intent millennia before any such notion appeared on social media posts.
We would say, What is your intention for your world now?
Are you standing your very beautiful co-Creational ground?
Or are you waiting to hear about your fate, as if it were separate from you—handed to you, and not a thing in which you are fully participating, active, and creating in the moment?
Will you allow others to tell you how to feel about your world?
Will you let them decide for you that it is useless to feel positive and forward-thinking, expecting and envisioning a new, millennia-long era of Peace and Prosperity for the planet?
Or will you grab the reins and decide for yourself how you will feel, rather than allowing them to push the buttons they set into place long before you were old enough to understand how words and images can manipulate?
We would say, that beyond positive thought, there is positive feeling.
And that Now is the time to sink yourself into the beautiful, ever-giving Present Moment, dear ones, and to declare Peace everywhere on the Earth, whether or not you see it demonstrated outwardly.
Take hold of your authorship, your sovereignty, your physical being, which houses your mental/emotional self, and is so much smaller than your spirit, let alone your powerful soul of Light!

Your calendar year 2020 had an intense beginning, with fires raging in Australia and saber rattling by leaders in Iran and the United States. In reply to your comments and questions about these situations, we shall first address the devastating bushfires.
They are not Mother Nature’s doing. Arson is involved and so is weather manipulation technology, which Illuminati minions are using to prevent heavy rains and to create gusting and shifting winds.
The operator of the respected site www.goldenageofgaia.com asked if I would speak about the fires and how lightworkers can help. I asked my mother to copy my response because prayer and visualization are applicable wherever love-light energy is needed.
At this station we see the fires raging in Australia from two vibratory perspectives—love and tragedy.
Love’s high vibrations—the outpouring of assistance to and compassion for everyone affected by the fires—are alongside the low vibrations of tragedy—the lives lost, sorrow, fear and destruction..
Dear brothers and sisters, your prayers and visualization will help this country and all of its residents, thereby easing Gaia’s sadness about the loss of her body’s many life forms.
Prayers that flow from the heart send out the high vibrations of love. It matters not what words you use—the intention of the prayer is what counts. Visualizing golden raindrops drenching Australia’s parched earth and dousing the fires also issues love’s high vibrations.
Please do not doubt your ability to manifest whatever is desired, and know that when many put forth the same loving, caring intention, the beneficial effects increase a hundredfold.
All light beings in this universe are continuously beaming love-light energy to all of Earth.

Sabre rattling will not lead to War III or a war waged in the Middle East. Matters of longstanding throughout that region—religious vs. secular factions, invasions, enmity between Sunnis and Shiites, revenge for injustices to previous generations, male-dominated culture—are rooted in prejudices passed down from each generation to the next.
Now, energy streamers with those low-vibratory attachments are being dispersed by rising vibrations. During this “energetic unraveling” process there will be confusion, mixed emotions and very likely skirmishes as individuals and rogue groups engage in “face-saving” or vengeful terrorism. Resolution of those numerous complex situations as well as agreeable attitudes will come about incrementally as rational discussion replaces threatening rhetoric and what serves the common good replaces ill will.
The following comment, which is similar to many other readers’ comments or questions, is somewhat related to what we just spoke about. “I miss the insights that Matthew and the guides used to give us about President Obama and the unknown pressures he faced and wish we could get some guidance on this current Trump administration.”
From our vantage point, we see that President Trump, albeit unwittingly, is nudging the aforementioned Middle East situations into hastening the dispersal of streamers with dark attachments. He isn’t aware that some of his closest advisers and his ally, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, are Illuminati. Although he followed their advice to assassinate Iranian General Soleimani, he is resisting their pressure to wage war with Iran and to turn against Russian President Putin, who, along with his country, has been unjustly maligned by your controlled media.
Behind the scenes Mr. Trump is working with other influential individuals to hold the Illuminati accountable for their crimes against humanity. Other aims include revealing the truth about 9/11 and the presence of other civilizations, ending impoverishment and destruction to the planet, and ushering in a peaceful world.
We are not discounting your unfavorable and understandable views of the US president. We are asking that you acknowledge the higher good he is serving, however unawares insofar as energy activity in the Middle East, and that you put his administration’s distressing policies into the context of what we said shortly after the 2016 presidential election:
The election outcome doomed the Illuminati’s plan to put one of their own back in the White House after eight years of having to fight a president who fought back to the extent he could.
Planetary vibrations will strengthen and advance only endeavors that best serve Earth and all her life forms; anything to the contrary cannot be long-lasting.
Hard-won rights and progress in social justice cannot be dismantled. It is not the destiny of Earth’s peoples to go backward, but to move ever forward toward peace, mutual respect, cooperation and life in harmony with Nature.
The world where life is like that and the planet is restored to health and pristine beauty—the world you are helping to create in linear time—already is vibrantly flourishing in the continuum.
Former president Obama, the highly evolved soul that agreed to go to Earth and become US president, was light-filled when he embodied and his light has not diminished one iota. Persons who recognize this truth are not fooled by the photo-shopped pictures and fabricated films disseminated by dark ones to besmirch his character.
What is true is that due to Illuminati threats to kill his family if he didn’t cooperate, he gave in to demands that he was told were nonnegotiable. One was appointing Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State and another was endorsing her in the 2016 presidential race—the threats against his family are ongoing. An example where Illuminati in Congress and beyond had their way is the Affordable Care Act. Mr. Obama had to abandon his comprehensive plan that included a single payer insurance provision and push the healthcare program designed by the heads of insurance and pharmaceutical companies. Wrinkled brow and graying hair are the physical signs of his emotional and mental struggle that required compromising spiritual and moral integrity to protect his family.
“Does Matthew remember how difficult it is here? how density, gravity, time all weigh so heavily on those who work to be light-filled but are daily assaulted by what wears us down? I believe I am a lightworker. That I am here to hold the light, be the love. I would like to believe that Matthew can see and feel and understand that the heaviness of living is crushing.. One feels as if we’ve been deposited on a timeline from which there can be no escape, there is no hope of righting the wrongs. At every turn, one feels we have yet to work harder and we are already exhausted. I sent this with gratitude and with anxiety that maybe I am just not faithful enough.”
That excerpt of a lengthy email describes the feelings of the dear soul who expressed them in other ways, too, and enumerated many reasons. Other lightworkers have written much the same. Whatever any and all of you are experiencing is important to us—we love you!
Dear ones, the described feelings come from preoccupation with what you see as the state of the world. The sense that so much is wrong that ever making all of it right seems hopeless does wear down the spirit, and thinking that you have to work harder even though you’re already exhausted is a continuous energy drain. The results of those views of life are heavy because they are within third density’s limitations. The purpose of messages from us and other off-planet light beings is to help you rise above those limitations so that being a lightworker is joyous and fulfilling.
Please think how often we have said that simply by BEing the souls you are, you radiate light out into the world. Just as often we have told you that your light is awakening Earth’s peoples and inspiring them to move forward in manifesting the world they want. Probably most frequently what we say to you is, light beings throughout this universe are supporting you with the power of unconditional love all along your Earth journey.
In no way are we minimizing the discomfort and stress of depressing sensations—what we have earnestly tried to do is help you avoid or dispel them. We have advised being knowledgeable about world affairs as an observer and not enter into the drama of souls experiencing chosen karmic lessons. We have urged you to use the universal law of attraction to your benefit by changing negative thoughts to positive, and we’ve offered numerous means to adjust more easily physically, emotionally and mentally to energy changes as Earth proceeds steadily on her ascension course. And we tell you about the light’s progress that we see from our vantage point and you cannot see from yours.
Now then, yes, all of us at this station do indeed remember world-weary feelings. Like you, we have volunteered to help civilizations mired in third density, and in the timeless continuum, those lifetimes are happening simultaneously with the bliss at this station, thus we always have awareness of them.
More so, we are inseparably connected with you and feel what you do. However, we cannot let disillusionment or despondency last long or it would adversely affect the overall frequency here—those and other low-vibratory feelings adversely affect your personal frequencies, too. And consider this: God feels the “crushing heaviness of living” in the identical measure that each and every one of his children do throughout this universe. To us that intensity is incomprehensible.
You are embarking upon a year of an exciting and occasionally bumpy ride as the light continues exposing pockets of darkness in governments, the economic sector, legal and justice systems, technologies, and corporate structures. The high vibrations that are the driving force toward peaceful negotiations also are crumbling everything that is based in dark intention. The perpetrators will try to keep those going as they need that dense energy for sustenance, but their time is up. The long reign of darkness on Earth is ending.
Beloved brothers and sisters, forge ahead with confidence and optimism. Your invaluable contributions to the light’s victory still are needed!
